Thats the problem with a good band's members wanting to go solo - more often than not - they end up pumping out material that's way below par.

James Iha IIRC some time back also had a stab at the solo arena and in my opnion it was a flop.
He plays guitars marvellously - heck can even right pretty decent songs on his own - but does not have a strong enough voice - some of the ballady stuff is ok - but its not something that he should have done on his own,

Corgan's solo effort I dunno - but I'll be sure and "buy" that track when I get home from work 2nite

I'm such a sucker for spin-off solo artists
I own/or "own" albums from:
Puscifer (Maynard James Keenan's WTF solo project)
Melisa Auf Der Maur (ex basist from Hole, and toured with Smashing Pumpkins on their last tour when D'Arcy left)
One or two Paz Lenchantin tracks (we used to be myspace friends:D, she was the basist of A Perfect Circle)
Renholder (RE: D Lohner backwards: Danny Lohner ex abused NiN member)
Tweaker (Chris Vrenna's effort from not so long ago, another ex NIN member)
Courtney Love (I <3 drunk Courtney, so sad that she's given up drugs, alcohol and skanking.. :()
er..cant remember the rest...

But how have you found those albums?

Hehe in reading my post again - I see that its come across wrong.

I meant how have you found the music to be?
Did you enjoy it?
Was it totally off the beaten track from their original stuff with the bands they were playing in before, etc.

Sorry a bit dof and rushing to get work done :p

Oh, er Renholder is awesome along with some of the Puscifer tracks (he has a few Jazzy songs that sounds weird,and a song called *untry Boner :sick:) and Melissa Auf Der Maur is pretty great too, she has a weird voice, Courtney Love is okay, but she sometimes sounds like a watered down version of Hole...the others were err..not so great, one or two good songs..the other songs suck...not enough money for good producers? I don't know.

geez guys, any of you heard that ssong by Chevelle- well enough alone? theres a definite reason that oke breathes out so loud afore he starts screaming:eek::D
