Well, Do you play a musical instrument? What do you play? What kind of music do you play with it? What Model/Make of Instrument is it? Are you a beginner/intermediate/pro ? etc etc :)

:)

I'll start

I play guitar and have been doing so for 2 and a half years, i have an Ibanez Art-120 in White its a les paul copy guitar, it cost me R5000. I love it, its awesome, i've had it for half a year now, I used to mostly play metal with it, but now i play more blues and rock (hendrix, zeppelin, bad company, etc.) I'd consider myself an Intermediate player, I can play Hendrix and stuff, but im not hectically amazingly good. :) yay

I play acoustic guitar, and bass :D. I've been playing acoustic for about 6 years, and I still suck. Bass I've been playing for about a year. I'm okayish, but still not where I want to be. All it takes is practice, but lack of time and laziness puts a stop to that :/

Drums, been playing for about a year now, too little time to practice nowadays. Mostly play classic rock and thrash metal. My snare skin broke the other day, fark. I have to get 'nother one.

I guess i'ma professional muso, in that I make my living out of writing/performing music.
Bass is my first love, got 2 usa made fender precision basses, one with rosewood neck and one with maple. These are my go-to basses, really the ultimate all round bass imho.

next, i have this warwick limited edition 5-string that is sort of my prize bass, one of 200 made.

I also have an Ibanez acoustic 4-string and a classic hofner beatle bass, as well as this unusual jack casady epiphone bass, with flatwound strings.

For amplification I have a roland 100w cube and a markbass new york 1x12"

As for guitars, got a usa fender strat and fender tele and a fernandez strat copy, an ibanez steel string and an epiphone nylon classical.

Amp - fender jazzmaster vintage tube amp.

I have a casio weighted piano keyboard, 88 keys, and a novation remote sl61 for the midi stuff, as well as the NI Maschine drumpad and kore2 midi controller.

thats the basics of the setup, i love my instruments!

MIDI!

(strictly not an instrument, I know)

Do you do music production?

That's cool! Do you play in a band? I want to make a living from music, it is certainly one of my passions.

I have been playing the drums for about 4-5 years but I am no where as good as I should be. I am now starting the piano as it will help me greatly in music production.

My ultimate dream is also to work in music production. It would make my life complete. :D

if it makes you feel any better, part of my job requirement is watching 7 episodes of soap opera/week

Some people do that for fun you know. :p

If there is anyway I can engineer it, I am hoping to maybe do a B.Mus next year majoring in music tech, of which I have already completed 2 years.

What do you do assegai?

I write the music for a couple of drama series and the odd film/documentary/commercial/jingle etc
also got some ongoing contracts doing the music for some soapies, all that background stuff/beats etc.

Also have a band (busy recording first album) and make some of my own stuff, mostly for fun but i've had a couple of commercial releases over the years.
Here's a vid from my previous band, I'm the guy on keyboards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXEU-JjtwHY

I play the harmonica and the guitar (crappy acoustic I have had for ages, I have an old Morris acoustic as well but it is quite banged up, beautiful sound though). I have been playing for just under 10 years.

Harmonica I play like a retard, guitar I am not too bad. Probably intermediate.
