Muslims comdemn Islamic State

To start off with, I do not agree with the recent news that Israel taking land in the West Bank.

That said, I am a Israel supporter and I believe that Israel has got a right to exist and to protect itself and its citizens from aggression from Islamic states and Islamic terrorists from Gaza, West Bank and elsewhere.

Sorry bud , I dont think you answered my question , I agree with what you said above , is it then your opinion that the bombings of the schools , kids on beach etc was justified ? Does it fall into the above when you said

I believe that Israel has got a right to exist and to protect itself and its citizens from aggression from Islamic states and Islamic terrorists from Gaza, West Bank and elsewhere

You have a situation where Israel basically steal (you called it taking land) and torturing innocent people. Do you agree with that ? From your statement its clear you oppose the recent land grabbing of Israel , I just wonder how you feel about the past land grabbing , its a topic many seemed to oppose but not willing to discus here. I find it very frustrating sometimes because it leave many questions for me about the whole situation in the East.

I find your stance a little contradictive to be honest , maybe I don't understand it completely but on the one hand you say we Muslims need to act out more against atrocities committed in the name of Islam , When a major Islamic group openly oppose it you question the sincerity of it and say more is needed. On the other hand you also say that you oppose the land grabbing of Israel and have stated it previous posts and that seems to be enough ?

Are we at the place where it does not matter because our minds are made up no matter what the other party says or tries ? Are we all just filled with hatred of the other that we cannot see things for what they are ? I would like to think not.

Alan Henning: British Muslim leaders unite to call on Isis to release hostage

We are not prepared to let these lunatics hijack our faith’ - read the letter and add your name to the #NotInMyName list

Aid worker Alan Henning was kidnapped in Syria in December

By*OLIVER WRIGHT

Wednesday 17 September 2014

Over one hundred Muslim leaders today make an unprecedented joint appeal to the kidnappers of Alan Henning to release the aid worker unharmed or commit the “worst condemnable sin” against Islam.

The joint statement to The Independent has been signed by dozens of Imams from across the UK as well as community leaders and other prominent Muslims. It has been passed on to Mr Henning’s family.

Among those signing the letter are representatives of all strands of Islam from Shia to Sunni to Salafi, Sufi, and Deobandi.

The Muslim Council of Britain an umbrella body with over 500 affiliated national, regional and local organisations including mosques, charities and schools is also a signatory.

Letter by British Imams and Muslim Leaders appealing for release of Alan Henning

We, the undersigned British Muslim Imams, organisations and individuals, wish to express our horror and revulsion at the senseless murder of David Haines and the threat to the life of our fellow British citizen, Alan Henning.

Mr Henning was a volunteer who travelled to Syria to help innocent civilians.

Acts of humanitarianism are an essential element of religious practice for all Muslims, and of course they are just as significant to other people too. Islamic teachings call for charity and selflessness. Most importantly, acts of beneficence do not, and cannot, exclude non-Muslims.

In Islam, concern for fellow humans and the duty to help everyone is a religious obligation. Anyone undertaking a humanitarian act is paving his or her way to receive help from heaven, should be commended and held in the highest esteem.

In contrast, the*senseless kidnapping, murder*and now the despicable threats to Mr Henning at the hands*of so-called ‘Muslims’*cannot be justified anywhere in the Quran and the Sunnah (Prophetic traditions).

The un-Islamic fanatics are not acting as Muslims, but as the Prime Minister has said, they are acting as monsters. They are perpetrating the worst crimes against humanity. This is not Jihad - it is a war against all humanity.

The Holy Quran says that:

"Whosoever kills a human being... it is as if killing the entire human race; and whosoever saves a life, saves the entire human race."

We plead with those holding Alan Henning to see the errors of their ways. To embrace the word of the Quran*and accept that what they are now doing constitutes the worst condemnable sin.

We appeal to them to release Mr Henning immediately.*The*Quran*states that*“repentance is not accepted from those who continue to do evil deeds”.

In the name of the Almighty All Merciful God, we beseech Mr Henning's kidnappers with the words of our Prophet Muhammad - "Show mercy to those on earth, the One in the Heavens will have mercy on you.

British Muslim communities have done a great deal to speak out over the evils of terrorism over many years. We will continue to do everything within our power to prevent any other young man or woman getting caught up in this poisonous ideology.

Alan Henning: Bolton Muslim community raises £30,000 in his memory

The Muslim community in Bolton has raised £30,000 in memory of murdered British aid worker Alan Henning.

The father-of-two was kidnapped last December while travelling to Syria as part of a Muslim aid convoy which set off from Bolton with the intention of delivering toys and presents to Syrian children.

He was killed by Isis who posted a video online of his apparent beheading on Friday.

A total of £30,000 has now been raised in the town in Greater Manchester to help fund projects in his memory, the Bolton News has reported.

In a statement released this week the Bolton Council of Mosques said: "We would now like to support the funds set up to help provide financial support for Alan's family and other ongoing projects to benefit those in need to ensure his legacy continues."

On Sunday, thousands paid tribute to Mr Henning in his home town of Salford.

A minute's silence was held by rugby union fans ahead of the Sale Sharks' game with London Wasps while services were staged in churches and mosques.

The 47-year-old taxi driver's humanitarian deeds were recalled at Eccles parish church, next door to the minicab firm where he worked.

Floral tributes and notes of condolence were also placed at the foot of Eccles Cross in the town centre.

The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Rev David Walker, compared the sense of unity in loss to the aftermath of the 1996 IRA bomb which destroyed a large part of Manchester city centre and injured more than 200 people.

The city's Muslim leaders have spoken out vehemently against Mr Henning’s murder by Isis and many were among those paying tribute to the taxi driver.

I call BS since you are not protesting the land grab and not vocal enough. So I think you support the land grab by Israel.

Pathetic, you call Ockie out but yet all you guys ever moan about is Israel.
Never see you lot calling out militant Islam and local militant aggression towards Jews or Israel.
Pathetic

"Our group"? You mean you guys have already created your own clique and group and have set plans and goals? :p

Being gay is an orienration, not a religion or lifestyle or fashion. Just as you can be a straight whatever-you-want, so can you be a gay whatever

There are gay muslims too, just as gay christians and gay racists. The world is a little more diverse than the gay mafia
I dont think people chose their sexual orientation.
As for being gay in Islam? Really? You will be killed. ;)

German Muslims hold day of protest against ISIS jihadists

Some two thousand mosques across Germany were called upon by top Muslim clerics to use their Friday rituals to rally against the Islamic State and speak out against beheadings in Syria and Iraq.

On Friday, the chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mazyek, told the country’s Muslim population that they shouldn’t stay quiet about the misuse of the Islamic faith, describing the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) as “in truth terrorists and murderers" who have dragged Islam “through the mud.”

Slightly old story (20 September), not sure if it's been posted before.

Would be nice if the held protests against Hamas when they abducted and murdered 3 kids.

Yes, I will continue to go on about this until they actually show real signs of humanity

Nah you wont, you will just find something else to complain about, that much is evident from your post history on the subject. Its not feasible to protest everything you are against. Im one to admit that Islam has a lot of problems but i cant agree with your way of thinking. I think the problem is that you have a lot of hatred for Islam which causes you to be come highly irrational. It also has the opposite of the intended effect, more often than not when i read your posts i tend to become more and more sympathetic to the moderate Muslim.

Mmmm...

You can only find this on the blogs because no Danish media reported on the incident - (probably because it would give even better polls for Danish Peoples Party, which has already risen to be the 2nd biggest party in polls)

I read that...but in the media worldwide ratings trump morals.....but deliberate misinformation affects reputation.

Do you think they would not report actual news because it might increase the popularity of a political party I think you are sadly mistaken. Especially as some of that mainstream media might be sympathetic to that party

Imran I was agreeing with you, lol maybe I should have made that clearer. The post was from SSung, I thought it was obvious. I actually Google'd trying to find a better source for this alleged rally, still haven't found one.

Did some digging, found a link: http://www.demotix.com/news/5924215/hizb-ut-tahrir-celebrate-eid-mubarak-copenhagen

Seems like they were just celebrating Eid

I picked it up from this pic. The 'Eid Mubarak' is quite clear there.

The white banner basically reads "There is no god but Allah , Muhammed (saw) is his messenger"

Eid Mubarak to you SSung . ( please note.... It's not a threat, you don't have to climb back into your bunker) ;)
