Must lose weight

I currently weigh 98KG
21 Years Old (Male)
1.68M in height.

Currently I have been very unactive. I do want to be active again. Heck I have a Virgin Active contract. Bear in mind per a day I can not spend more than 90 minutes at gym. As I do not have more time for it. Also note I have bad knees and always have to limit the amount of work done on my legs.

Generally I eat normal foods, pasta, rice meat etc. However recently I have been eating samosas, pizza, KFC, Mac D etc.

Every portion has been far too much, we talking at time 5/6 slices of bread a day.

Note I have been drinking more and more beer and wine. Almost everyday now. Anywhere from 2-3 beers to 3-4 glassess of wine per a day.

I generally feel hunger between 10am-12PM and then from 2PM-4PM

Toilet about 4 times a day for a number 1 and twice a day for a number 2.

I hate oats, olives and goats cheese.

No food allergies at all.

Per a day I drink about 4 glassess of water a day.

I want to lose at least the first 10kg as fast as possible and then slow it down from there. So then I can lost at a more healthy pace. Would love to lose as much as possible by 12 June and then as much by 25 August.

I would go as extreme as I need to to achieve my goals.

These days I sleep well, however been feeling more and more sluggish. Not to mention just constantly tired.

I will work a gym plan out and eating plan. You can have the perfect body in 12 weeks toned and every thing if you do it hardcore but I would do it over six months for slow. I will as soon as I have a scanner on I can upload you some of my worked out plans.

The secret to losing weight is eating more not less :) Yes you heard it, the best part is it is yummy meals that I will talk about later. Depending on what you want you can even lose fat by just sitting and doing nothing by eating more often of the right foods.

I will work out the hard core plan for you but don't do it from the start use a handy cap and start SLOW and easy like 2kg weights and work your way up.

You might be fat and look buff or huge but your overall muscles might not all be equal and you can get some bad strains.

A tip for now:
No alcohol*
No smoking*
No sugars or foods with high kilojoules.*
Remove gluten, eat only gluten free bread, the Albany whole wheat brown bread is good.
Try to keep you intake of nutritious food's kilojoules between 9-10k a if you are not active at all because you burn 10k just by sitting a whole day and more in a winter day.
Eat 5 meals a day and not one big one at the end of the night and drink 2glasses of water with every meal.
Don't skip breakfast eat some thing like Pronetro or corn flakes with low fat milk.
Eat whole wheat *brown* bread it is the fastest way you lose weight :) it is slow releasing of energy keeping your body happy. White bread is the devil- remember that and you will do fine.
Snack on Fruit and have Veggies with every meal raw or steamed.

I will give you a detailed program with, do & don'ts and why not to do it & why to do it and the same for gym.

You can munch a bit biger at night but keep it before 8pm make that your 4th meal at 10pm have a small meal 2 our before you sleep.

You must get a good sleeping pattern 10pm-6am is a very good night's worth of sleep.

Just a few tips but I'll load you a template/guide even a 4year old can follow but it is allot of info :)

Dude i am not calling you a liar but i cannot believe it is physically possible to lose 30kgs in 2 months, impossible i would say. Please enlighten us as to how you dropped 15kgs a month.

When you feel like eating grab some fruit that is the only the answer i reckon because the quiting smoking is making you eat like crazy and obviously gym as much as possible. Orbitrek is very good if you want home training.

Google body for life I did the plan in 90 days and it worked.

Yes 15kg a month does not come easy.

Plus you pee out like 2litters a day so 60 litters a month is enough to remove the filth and also to burn off the fat.

the top tips are just some good habits if your not following a plan but won't work with out a plan.

I give a full list on food to eat and even a full template on what, how, how much when and what to eat.

The gym plan I'll give some guides as well.

does not compute.

I use to go up and down weekly with 2-5kgs O_O from bad habits.

I was a fatty I had take aways from Mcdonalds almost every 2d day only ate what ever there was when I was hungry.

So I went on a low fat kilojoule of healthy foods "diet"(diet is a curse word) so I lost about 10kg in mass but not fat O_O because I ate less and not more.

The secret is the body needs to get a constant release of energy and nutrients. YOU ARE NOT A CAMEL :) your blood stream is what you should store the stuff in to be peed out often and renewed with new nutrients.

So you eat 5 meals a day at set times because you have a internal clock.
The foods I'm going to show you, you will notice they fill you up so no hunger pains or urges, they are yummy, they are easy to make and the main thing is they release a slow constant source of energy. This will stop your body from thinking oh sheet I went 2mins with out energy now I must begin to use fat and next time you eat he stores 4mins worth of fat.

I will even give you a guide for just 6days a week and Sundays you can loaf and eat all you can eat take aways it won't make a diff because you will still lose weight.

Don't ever diet, eat healthy have a healthy eating plan. Don't starve your self because thats how you pick up faster than you lose.

I was fat my whole life and just got fatter and fatter. Grade 9, I was 80kg and in grade 10, I was 95(not even taller lol).

The best way to lose weight is only the right way any other way and you will bloat out faster than a dead fish.

Oh and NO COOL DRINKS with kilojoules! Also don't eat to much fruit they can also make you fat :) they have loads of sugar(1-3 a day is good).

I have apples, bananas, brown bread, lettuce, tomatoes and all sorts of things always laying around to snack on.

Struggling with sleep and tired allot at work or where ever is because you pack your self like a camel and your body would rather sleep than burn fat :)

I don't doubt you can shed weight but i cannot for the life of me see how it is possible to shed 30kg's in 2 months.

Seems impossible to me, specially if your toned and what not now, i cannot see how anyone no matter they do can shed that kinda weight so fast. I mean 30kgs is a crazy amount to shed in 2 months, the more weight you lose the harder it becomes to maintain and the harder it becomes when closing in on those final kilo's, now i cannot get my head around a 30kg in 2 months, short of starving yourself and eating absolutely nothing for 2 months.

I'm 34 with health problems (asthma) and obese.

I must say as someone that has started to work on my own health issues, I'm finding it rather easy to loose weight with very little effort. I commute to work every day (5km uphill and 5km downhill) - thats it. Major cardio though, I will admit.

I'm doing this to get fit and weight loss is at this stage a side effect: My appetite has changed and I no longer crave the bad things in life (white bread and fizzy cooldrinks).
Already lost 4 kg in 9 weeks taking into consideration I have also gained muscle weight. I never measure my waist but I'm loosing it big time. This month I'm losing 1kg a week as my muscle gain is slowing down.

I have made a minor lifestyle change that I'm enjoying - I now get pi$$ed off when I cannot cycle to work when the Cape weather is crappy. EDIT: I've only cycled 450km in 9 weeks, its not like I'm doing 70-100km a day.

Stop the takeout, booze, chips and sweets... you will lose weight... 3 beers a day is not helping your cause

You can and by eating more not less :) but only with gym.
You can lose about 10kgs a month if you eat right 5times a day+water by just sitting.

You need to get your metabolism up.

Google "Body for life" it is the best plan out there but it is not the only one that would work. Starving your self is the worst way to lose the weight because your body then thinks like a camel's hump store store store, you also lose muscle mass first then.

I lost 30kgs of fat in 2 months and so can you.

Still wondering what I should eat, according to Body for life.

Capped so thus no Google!

Personally I'd say anything more than 1kg per week is dangerous. You'd probably be losing more water weight, muscle weight and bone density than fat. Your body would also start fighting against such dramatic weight loss by kicking in a starvation response that would make it extremely difficult for you to continue losing weight.

I'd recommend a more measured approach.

- Eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones. Helps to stabilize your blood sugar and prevent cravings. Meals should be nutrient dense and contain a serving of veggies as well as a low fat source of protein like chicken.
- Drink 3 to 4 liters of water daily (or 1 liter per 1000 calories that you consume or burn). This will help flush out subcutaneous water and already make you look thinner.
- Do strength and aerobic training, but skip a day between. Strength Monday, Wednesday and Friday, aerobic training Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for example. Gives your body chance to build muscle. You don't want to exercise the same muscles within 24 hours.
- Restrict fruit / juices / sugars to post workout to replenish muscle glycogen
- In spite of what you might read, you need carbohydrates, just not as much as people tell you. You should get them from whole wheat breads and pastas.
- One day per week, eat what you want and do no exercise whatsoever.
- Zig zag your calorie intake. In other words eat small amounts of calories for say 4 days then bump up your calorie intake for 3 days. This will help prevent a diet induced weight loss plateau.
- Remember that you're not trying to lose WEIGHT, but FAT. Don't look at the scale, look in the mirror or at your waist size. It doesn't matter what you weigh, muscle weighs more than fat. You might actually gain weight while becoming slimmer. If you have something that can measure body fat check that instead.

Also, I don't agree with people telling you to do 1 hour of aerobic training at this stage. If you've been inactive for a long time it could even possibly be dangerous. Start off with something like a 20 min session 3 times a week and bump it to 30 mins after two weeks, then 40 mins etc and work your way up to an hour.

Lastly, anything you do to your body will take 2 to 3 weeks to show. You won't see any dramatic results within the first week or two. This is usually when most people give up and say that exercise and proper diet don't work. Just hang in there, from the 3rd week or so results should start coming quite quickly.

But all that's just my opinion.

Thank you for sharing the informative post.

Good weight loss program is combination of proper eating and exercises – this the easiest and quickest way to burn this stubborn fat
This way you can fully understand your personal body type, and what is necessary to achieve fast weight loss. Although some people hate to hear it, most fitness and diet experts will always recommend some kind of workout routine in order to successfully lose weight.

10day juice diet/detox could easily shed 7kg depending on the person. Done it before.

I tried the juice diet and must say it didn't agree with me :(
On day 2 I almost threw up from the smell of carrots as most of the juices you have to consume contain quite a few carrots. So I gave up on the diet but we love our juicer :D
In Feb I joined a gym and started eating 'right'... just cutting out sugar, sweets, chips and deep fried foods. By June I had lost 20 kgs so now it's much easier keeping it off, and the weight loss feels much more sustainable because I did it over a few months, rather than 10 days. The healthy eating habits have thus become a way of life and if I don't gym for more than 3 days I feel it :)

The only thing I did not like was cucumber juice. Cucumbers are nice to eat but the juice is a different story.

Personally I'd say anything more than 1kg per week is dangerous. You'd probably be losing more water weight, muscle weight and bone density than fat.

I hear what you say about the dangers, but in Feb this year I did a cycle race, 1mile swim race, 18km beach run race & a triathlon (with no practice beforehand) ...together with it, I cut out all sweets/cooldrinks/fatty stuff.

I dropped 10kgs in 6 weeks and felt healthier than ever. I went from 107 to 97kgs, but with work taking precedence the last few months, I slipped back to 100kgs. You can feel the difference in each kg!

I'm battling to go below 97 ... as it seems I plateaued there. The next step is definitely setting up a proper diet plan. I've returned to Gym, going 1hr - 4 nights a week, doing cardio + stomach exercises (leg ups, not crunchies). I dont smoke or drink at all, so that helps.

How much does the body for life story cost?
