Where can I get it the cheapest?

I have a 500GB External, can I connect it with Mvix? Or is there a cheaper way for me to watch my .avi movies with my 500GB external?

Does the Mvix MV-6000R or Mvix MX-780HD have USB ports for my external?

I've been playing with my friend's Mvix. Really a lot of fun... and you can use it as an external, too. I don't have an answer for the rest of your question, though.

What I did was buy a phillips dvd player with a usb port ...use a external usb drive wit a 500 gig drive.
Works well....Only you have to format the drive as fat32

From what I've read, the Mvix will see the external connected to it. Have you checked out mvix.co.za? I saw some technical info on the there regarding a few suggested setups. Can't remember them off hand though.

Converting it to FAT32, but then I have to delete everything in my HDD, my other HDD is too small :/
 
i have a 760 hd which i connect my external 500gig hd to, works very well, i love my mivx, inside i have a 250gb hd, mvix very cool, try get the new 780 or 760 as the only difference is the hdmi on 780 and dvi on the 760, one can upgrade firmware on the 760 and then its the same features as the 780, internet radio, internet tv ect. thier are alternatives but mvix rocks!!!!
 
I'm considering the Mvix too, but would simply stream from my server. That way I can simply add storage to the server. And media is avaialable to the whole network.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention, we have adjusted our pricing on the unit and it is now selling for R4999.00 including VAT.

We will also be adjusting our prices on the balance of the range by the end of this week.

Mvix 780HD @ Esquire

Hey Dude

I bought a Mvix 780HD @ Esquire in CPT branch on Saturday for R 2399 excl vat and SATA 1TB Seagate @R1299 and got the techie there to setup it for me R45, total cost me R 4267 including vat ,
 
Esquire Midrand had them going for R1999 +VAT (R2279 incl.) early November - no HDD, just the player - not sure what they cost now as they don't seem to be listed on their shop website. Will find out when I'm next there.
