I had a problem with Google when searching from the Firefox address bar but not when I typed Google into the address bar. I also had a bit of an issue with Google maps not fully loading.

Only google sites that are giving problems - don't reckon it's anything to do with MWEB as every other site I go to is working 100%.

Talk for yourself, it is not only Google sites had another couple of websites. I seriously doubt it is a Google problem.

Hi guys, I had it tested and it worked fine on both our routes. Let me have you details and we will investigate.

Thanks

@MWEB OPS I'm also having some intermittent issues this morning, with international not just google. Based in Durban.

Looks like there may be some issues with dns. can anyone confirm this?

Yeah thats what I think, same links on my backup Afrihost acount load instantly, MWeb times out

Confirmed. Google Reader not accessible on 384 uncapped line. Other international sites are working.

Edit: Google working now for me. This is interesting though:

Code:
PING www.l.google.com (155.232.240.19) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from [B]gc-cpt-bree-g21-23-19.uni.net.za[/B] (155.232.240.19): icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=52.6 ms

:wtf: Is this the local "caching" of Google/YouTube?

Google as well as a couple local site are working intermittently on my side, definitely something wrong.

From what Aharon described it sounds like a DNS issue. Everything works for me on Mweb 384 capped. Maybe try resetting your router and flushing your DNS cache?

Anybody else having problems with youtube? i.e problems downloading youtube videos from a number of different sites and also with videos stopping 2/3 way through?
