MWEB 4meg Uncapped Shaped: My first two nights

Started picking up again shortly after eight and it's been fine the whole night again. Pings in WoW are cruising along at ~350ms and web is responsive again.

Thanks to the guys from MWEB for getting back to me. 'cept for the 20 minute wait, the service was good. Let's hope the connection behaves now.

Sorry to hear you not getting what you want/paid for, but it sounds to me you are very hard to please..

Good on MWEB for at least attending to you both on mybb & directly. Not many companies are willing to go this extra mile. To MWEB, I shall join you soon :)
 
It picked up again after about eightish. Basically the same as the previous night. Maybe 7-8 is peak time for people? *shrug*

I need to say that I don't think WoW is being shaped, because connections from 4mbps uncapped Mweb to our WoW server in AZ, USA gives about 390-410ms.

Torrents, Rapidshare, and so on are shaped by Mweb. Even though that's pretty frustrating, there are ways around it, which will allow full speed downloads for P2P. And that'll work out so much cheaper than getting unshaped uncapped.

Very sluggish again this afternoon. *sigh* All I want to do is spend my Sunday afternoon surfing the Net and playing games... is that too much to ask?

Yep, VPS seedboxes from the right provider will be able to provide you with a dedicated environment for your downloads, provide a very basis for privacy and would simply do the job! :)
