MWEB Domain name

Hi

Anyone know how long it takes for MWEB to release a domain name once it has been cancelled?

They require a 30 day notice. So, I cancelled my domain name with MWEB on 23/02/2022, and received a confirmation on the cancellation on 23/02/2022.

However when I tried to get the domain it shows as un-available. When I did a WHOIS I see that MWEB still has it. Trying to get a hold of someone at MWEB seems to be near impossible. The website is also next to useless.

The only thing that went smoothly was the cancellation process. Which is weird. It is like they don't want money.

Did you cancel the service and initiate a transfer or did you just outright cancel the domain and hoping that you are going to be able to register it again once cancelled and it's not scooped up by someone else before you..? Assuming it's a name people want, of course..
