Just upgraded to uncapped at work. Tried to go online, no luck. I phone the mweb helpline at 5:30pm. A recorded message said they were having an issue with international connectivity. My experience of it was that there was no connectivity except to Mweb's website. Couldn't browse locally at all. any one else? No news on MyBroadband yet.

Fine here too CPT, except latency is a quite high. P2P speeds are half what they should be.

Glad it's up & running for everyone. Having not tried to sort it out when I heard the Mweb message I trusted it would come online later. I was hoping to use Logmein to remotely set my work computer to start downloading a few things overnight. Perhaps it's just Logmein that's offline on that side. I'll have to try to sort it out in the morning.

i been screwed for two nights now, and neither telkom or mweb know what the problem is

explain to me how newshost through altbinz tells me i should be D/L at 240kbs but only getting 12-45kbs on a 4 meg line

I should clarify that the recording regarding international connectivity was followed by the standard prompts and ultimately I spoke to someone who confirmed the message.

How would Newshost know the speed at which should be downloading? In altbinz you can set the maximum download speed to whatever you like, but the actual speed you achieve will depend on the news server you're connecting to and how strictly MWeb is shaping the nntp protocol.

Mweb down? Seems not.
Combination of problems: Line problem caused mweb to see two connections which is not allowed on uncapped. Telkom sorted out the line and mweb did a hard reset to remove all active connections. Everything fine now.

I also have a problem.

I upgraded yesterday to a 4mb and I have the same speed as when I had my 384kbps line!!!

I am still struggling today!!

Hi lizl,

I'm not sure what the problem is on your side. Currently there is an outage in JHB area 011 472, 477, 672, 674 & 673. Please PM me your details and I'll get one of our technical specialists to contact you
