mweb email problems

Hi All,

Just a quick heads up if you are having problems sending email via mweb.

One of my clients called me to say that his outbound emails were bouncing and the mweb help desk keep telling him to reboot the router.

When I arrived on site I confirmed that the router and the outlook settings were ok, then started playing with the SMTP servers.

smtp.mweb.co.za and smtp.iafrica.com both returned the messages as unroutable 550 error messages, but smtp.telkomsa.net worked.
Just be warned that mweb and Telkom are now starting to blame each other in order to avoid having to accept responsibility.

This time the client gets it on the house but next time, ether Telkom or Mweb must pay for my time.

In general, I think the best bet is to use Telkom's
smtp server and your ISP pop server for ordinary mail.

I use smtp.saix.net
