Mweb is no newcome, it has been around since dial up days. But it’s latest string of broadband offers gave ISP’s a run for their money. As new competitors begin to shine there’s no doubt that Telkom isn’t the only “big boy” in town despite the other ISP’s still having to rely on it.

So,Mweb uncapped… be it 1 or 4mbps,did it win. Or does it fall flat?

I’ve been reading a lot of comments online on various forums about Mweb. Many say it’s great. And many say it has BIG-ISSUES .Down times, dead lines, shaped connectivity. Could this all be a sinister plot from Telkom to get subscribers running back. Or has Mweb failed to deliver?

My perspective fails heavily on experience. The last time I was with Mweb was when I had a dial up connection… it was loud... it was noisy, aaand it took you a tea break to load a page.

So, for the sake of wondering consumers.Let us settle the final review.

Did Mweb’s new uncapped deals WIN with quality?
Or does the deal fall flat on service?

Let us know ,what you think…

1 meg uncapped - had the account for 3 months, and hassle free 99% of the time. Very happy indeed

Been on Uncapped since the launch. Rock solid and great support.

+1 no problems so far and I signed up the day they launched it.

It's great.

Until their system gets saturated, and they need to upgrade, which has only happened twice since I've been with them.

You do recall some of their tactics from the past?

Some things never change....

No hassles whatsoever with the actual service that mweb supplies. Been on the 384Kbps, 1Mbps, and now 4 Mbps. Been very happy with them all. No downtime whatsoever really.

Only problem is there 4, and 10Mbps bundle pricing. But that is being discussed in another thread.

mweb has been the greatest!!! IS sucked!! afrihost sucked!!! mweb could provide South African users what they needed

Hi King_Hermy

You can experience the MWEB's uncapped product for yourself. I can arrange for a free 7 day trial account to be setup for you.

If you would like that, please PM me your contact details.

Hi All

Thanks for the wonderful feedback and support, we really appreciate it. :)

I am also looking to get an ADSL account at around the beginning of next year. How long does it take to set up the line through MWeb, if at all possible? And what does it cost?

Hi

The activation can take upto 15 working days to complete from the date we receive the completed documentation. It also depends on port availability in your area and the quality of the exchange. The cost depends on the package you choose upon sign up.

Let me know when you ready and I'll arrange for a consultant to contact you to set it up. :)
