I received this email from DSTV this morning:

Im already a DSTV premium subscriber, do i need to cancel my mweb 4mb uncapped, and subscribe again to take advantage of this offer?

That's correct. It went out to existing DSTV premium subscribers for new MWEB subscriber sign ups.

Please click onto the T&C's at the bottom of the mail for more info.

haha, always the loyal existing customers who get screwed. Happens all the time with Vodacom too.
 
My guess is it's only for premium subscribers
 
I like the direction Naspers are taking here, however it pales in comparison to Telkom's 3 month free trial with no restrictions on which new customers can use it, a free modem, no contractual obligations and no shaping or throttling from what I've read.

It's a nice offer. In the same way that a cup of tea is nice. As an existing DSTV premium subscriber, I won't be "taking advantage" of this. You guys could have done a heck of a lot better than this...

I agree. Where is the DStv Premium + Mweb Uncapped for R1500? Just to save a little atleast....
