Well I have a subscribed account and the speed is really crap right now. Getting about 60kbps.

Correction: It just shot up to 200kbps like a minute ago.
 
Hmmm... I really don't think uncapped is going to work for anything but downloads to be honest. Online gaming - FAIL Youtube - FAIL Even browsing is not great
 
just set up my account, whoohoo. It was exactly one day late (I had already bought a booster, trying to download the latest ubuntu beta, kept getting hash fails) :p
 
Sounds like, to me, that the person applied and they granted him the account and it worked within the 1st 30 minutes since they issued it. If I'm wrong, then how does BrokenLink know that it took 20 seconds to activate the account if he, assuming, applied on the 16th? I mean, it should take about 9 days to activate the account if you apply on the 16th and then you are only able to use it now, the time of his post.

Anyways, I was also under the impression that there were only 1000 test accounts available and I assumed, which is dangerous, that they are all taken.

Well considering I won a account for April and it was activated on the 23rd of March i think, then it took -7 days to activate by your logic.

The 20 seconds is the time it took to activate the account after the details was send out, if u were on the mailing list u would know that u have to activate it by doing a login on their site.
 
oh btw try posting a comment on the mwb uncapped facebook group (FTW), they sorted out most of the issues raised there very quickly and also promised the 4mbps upgrades there
 
My vuse is only downloading on 1.0KB/s, During the day got even worse on my 384 line. i wonder if its just because its a free account.

Yes, exactly, so stop being greedy little buggers.
They gave the accounts for free for a month to the first 1000 fans on FaceBook on FTW and they probably simply made a mistake to hand out 4mb accounts. So, they realised their mistake and changed it to 512 accounts, knowing that these people that got the free accounts would most likely rape the network, and reading some posts here I guess they were right.
