MWEB Gaming Feedback

had this issue as well, during the day its mostly fine, but after like 6PM-ish its f*&ked.....going for like a few days now :(

Since Tuesday my latency on wow has gone up to 8000ms +. When I log onto telkom account it works like a bom with a 280 - 290 ms latency but soon as I switch to Mweb it goes up to 8000ms and more... please sort out!

Same problem with me, its just pissing me off, we need to cancel our raids every evening because of this lag in world of warcraft

Guild Wars last night from CPT was unplayable (1100ms +) , switched to SAIX account and it came down to 500ms. Will collect a list of GW EU Servers over the weekend for ya.

Cant be just Cape Town, 3 of my guild mates stays in Pretoria, and they all had 4k+ latency using mweb aswell.

Aye same here, WoW has been unplayable on Mweb uncapped for the last few weeks now. crazy latency ( 2k-8k ) during the day I would get 600-900ms sometimes , but then it would shoot back up way past the 2k mark more often than not. totally unplayable in the evenings. pity - I was hoping this type of account would be okay for online gaming.

p.s SAIX pre paid works like a charm btw: 290-400ms anytime during day or night.

having the same problem here in Muisenberg ping is sky high on wow but everything else is fine really annoying with the new patch and all

One thing I have picked up so far is that the P2P portion of the update is recognized as actual bitorrent traffic, which I'm assuming is due to the way Blizzard implemented this. I saw someone mention earlier that they found it was better to turn this off and just use the http downloader, can anyone confirm if this is a good workaround? At this stage I don't think I will be able to get the signatures changed to accommodate this.

hi Will have tried that already it, makes no difference to the latency, my wow is totally up to date and p2p is off , but when i log in latency shoots up after about a minute i even went to a low population server and created a new char with no change .. ping goes 2k + within a minute of loggin in

Ok I need a WoW player who is available now for testing - volunteers please? :)

Turning off P2P would only help speed up the updates, it wouldn't make a difference to your ping or anything in game.

Do you guys think Dc Universe online will be playable on a 4mb uncapped account on the ps3, i really dont want my pre-order for that game to be pointless.

and for the answer.....o wait did Will not ask for this thread not to derail ?

./fail

make a new post somewere else to get the answer 2 ur question ?

and from my side in Cape Town, Durbanville, the ping seems fine now, have a friend playing wow now and his ping is 250-300..

Just hope it stays like that and not f&*k out at 6 PM..... :(, then I will be a sad panda

Quite right I'm seeing the update delivery and the high pings as two separate issues here.

So we now have more than one report that it's actually fine during the day, but performance seems to drop off in the early evening? Do I have consensus on that?

At work at the moment, this bad latency thing couldn't have come at a worse time for WoW players with the new patch and all. I think when they added all the WoW traffic to a higher priority, they accidentally put it on lowest priority, the one that is powered by that hamster in the MWEB ad.

R.I.P Hamster.

Ok but seriously now, I really hope that things are sorted from today and that I don't login to 20000ms latency tonight.
