Thanks for that captain obvious. "In context" i was referring to constant lag and not a once-off-ten-minute spike.
let's try that again. if you get lag like that, it's probably not worth playing for the time that the lag is going. so, it's probably time to go and do something else.

Glad they're trying to sort it out, as any respectable company should when there is a major problem (and it us much appreciated I'm sure), and no - every paying customer should not be "first or last" on a priority list when dealing with a broken/defective product. The color of my money is the same as the owner of the local KFC, and this account is not mainly or exclusively intended for business use.
i contend differently. but that's just an opinion. business has to come first. no business, no long term money. i am functionally ok with this, because, to my mind, gaming is just a hobby. something you do in your down time when you're not making money. yes, mweb can make money off of gamers, but my contention is that they would make /less/ money.
i agree with you - in an ideal world, sure. your money should have as much weight as the local kfc's money, but this isn't an ideal world. mweb actually allude to this when they shape your account, because "average users" must not have their experience fall apart.

BS. I have raided both normal and HC iCC 10/25 with normal SAIX and the mweb uncapped account shortly after it's launch. as long as your pings are sub 600 at least, you're okay for raiding.but if you prefer unshaped go for it, not all of us have money to throw around.
yeah. "ok." i've experience that, too. but "ok" is certainly not "very good." it might be tolerable if you're dps, i'm not so sure about healing. you /may/ be able to get away with it as a tank, too. but it'd be fantastically scary. and a ping that length, for pvp? you'll struggle. or be wiped all over the floor.
as for the price of unshaped, again, i even contended that "r70 is high." but i also suggested that you can shop around. if you're paying the base cost of 384k on mweb, you possibly have another r70 to subsidize an unshaped account. honestly. if gaming means that much to you, you'd be looking into alternatives.

I'll upsize yours for free
i'm still passing. while you're at least rational, and at least making sense, mugs of stfu aren't really a good way to make an impression as an adult.

At least we can agree on that , but lashing out at everyone that complains about the problem and trying to downplay the impact massive lag has on online gaming is just plain idiocy. You can call all the people in here kiddies to defend Will/Mweb and whatnot, but the unhappy customers and the problem isn't going to go away.....
ok. two things: first.
"downplaying the impact on gaming" isn't something i'm doing. i'm suggesting that yeah. there's a problem. and yeah. it's frustrating, but that you have a lot of other options. if lag gets to be too bad in world of warcraft, i tell whoever i'm with, if i'm with someone at the time and then i go and do something else. play a single player game. [currently enjoying "art of theft," by yahtzee.] read a book. cook a meal.
secondly:
i was specifically referring to the kid
who want WILL TO PERSONALLY HELP THEM RIGHT NOW. not everyone else in this thread who - by and large - has been sane. mostly, i was just trying to help curb the craziness of how some people come across here. YOU MUST HELP ME. I AM SPECIAL. it's just not effective. if you want will to listen to you, and not get frustrated, then the best thing you can do is suggest things in a calm manner. i'm sure he'd appreciate that.
right. having delurked to have that entire conversation, i'm going to relurk now, for five more years.
i don't want to pollute this thread much more than it already is.
