MWEB Gaming Feedback

OMGGGGGGGG! 10am-11.50am so far.... and my WoW latencies are between 3k and 20k :O Noooooo! what did u do last night! Im in JHB on 512 uncapped unshaped.... this is um.... BAD! Im experiencing these latencies on retail as well as private servers... My pings to the private server is good, with the exception of a few timeouts here and there, which is kinda out of the ordinary as I dont usually get timeouts....

Will, please fix this before you guys eventually lose all MWEBs WoW players...
 
Last night something went horribly wrong, ping is worse than ever and even ping to sites are about 50-80ms higher. Will what is going on? its 4-5 days to Cataclysm and it just went from bad to worse, please respond urgently. I need to know if i have to buy another backup account so long (aka throw money in the water because of Mweb).

So please, let us know asap whats going on.
 
i seriously cannot understand how most of you people stay with mweb even thou they "claim" that they are attempting to resolve this. NO other ISP's in this country have this ISSUE!. My friend who moved to openweb has ZERO problems, and its R30 more than mweb. Seriously people wake up, cancel and move. Mweb will continue to say its this and that, they will not resolve it.

Get yourself a free Afrihost 1GB account for now, and then go get yourself a WA 1 or 2GB prepaid.. its expensive, but necessary if you only have an mweb account. Suffice to say, I finally got my cancellation confirmation from Mweb.... finally. So end of december I'm moving on to another ISP, that works.
 
My latency been around 400ms to 700ms on 4mbps uncapped account for the past 3 weeks or so, but have been getting lag spikes every 5-10 minutes, that last for about 10 seconds, It does not disconnect me, but as a healer 10 seconds is enough for a raid wide wipe

Everything else is fine downloading at over 400kb/s from torrents depending on seeders of course

SAOL has this issue with WoW. Eve , Battlefield, CS, Warhammer all run great, EXCEPT WoW.. No matter how many calls / emails are sent and made, no reply comes.

Ah :) managed too get one of those free 1gig accounts with afrihost, just need to wait for them too
activate.. Now too rant a bit... SAOL your service & care for your Client...me... was simply pathetic.
passing me around like a ragdoll from person too person not knowing even what world of warcraft is,
then too finish it off by hanging up on me is totally unacceptable, as a 5 year dedicated subscriber iv lost
all faith & respect for you guys & will be moving too a friendly & helpful provider as soon as possible... /rant over

It's called free Afrihost acounts ;) I just switch mine on after 6 :p
 
In the day its fine but im on 3k to 5k ms in the evening and as it looks like most people raid in the evening so most of us will not be going to the raids. Have you got some info Will?
 
Insane WoW latency? Say what...?

If have not been playing Wow over the last 2 months and come back last night to find insane high latency between 2k for a short time to 20k mostly. I am not even going to try and attempt in phoning customer support since they prob will have no idea what world of warcraft is and the nature of the problem and i will end up being pissed off and just ending the call!

Ive not been through all the posts but can someone please reply to what is being done is solving this problem and when it will be fixed. Im on a 384k line in the Eastern cape,which used to work fine in September when i last played!

The exspansion will be released soon (You do know this Mweb? - which means a **** load of pissed of people coming your way soon) and since im off work now, will want to take advantage of my limited holiday but it seems there are many people like me sitting frustrated and not being able to play and no idea what is being done to fix this problem that we as paying customers are having!

Cmon atleast give us some idea of what we can exspect on this issue!!!:mad:

there was a lot of stuff done to "solve" the problem but none worked, they are still testing and trying to figure it out but I can promise you that this will not be sorted out soon(meaning not in the next few months).

the best advice is to use Battlping(proxy service) and if that do not work(which on a couple of occasions did not work for me) then get an account from Openweb, Axxess, etc etc as they do not have the problem. My best advice to what I can give is either buy a capped account or cancel your Mweb account and move to Openweb(imo is the next best thing).

this issue has already gone on for about 1.5 months and has not been sorted........

I mean take steam for instance....still not working as it should

there is one option, cancel mweb and move on cos this **** is not gonna be fixed before Cata..
 
My net seems to be screwed aswell : / I keep having these "stalls" where the game just stops for awhile with everyone running in place and then everything usually just speeds up alot to where it's suppose to be, followed by another stall.
 
Now mweb is having massive lines of timeouts every few minutes. WELL ****ING DONE.
Cant we have 1 good week without a problem?

On a related note: Anyone have openweb? How are their uncapped deals for downloading from news servers and playing wow?
