MWEB Gaming Feedback

My latency in Runes of Magic is very high when I am able to log on. I am using WTfast, but it doesn't help. Please help. This is getting ridicules. I have to pay two ISP's just to keep one for gaming. This has been happening for a month now.

I am in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.

My experience since I have moved up to 1mb uncapped shaped has been fantastic. I do 25 man raiding in WoW and this I feel is a valid benchmark for latency sensitive applications.

So far, I have not lagged out once on MWEB and I have even noticed improvements on some fights. For example, Nefarian / Onyxia phase 2 (when lava rises), I used to see all my guildies on the platform before I could even start swimming up due to lag, last night I was swimming up with them! This is most likely due to having more bandwidth to handle environmental positioning in game.

Downloaded RIFT trial, got full linespeed and the 9 gigs worth of patch took me 2 nights (12am-7am on first night and 12am to 11am on second) to get. Impressive.

News servers / Torrents dont run at full linespeed most of the time but I do understand the need to have those shaped.

Is it worth it? Hell yeah.

thx for the update : )

PSN KZ3 was having terrible lag spikes. Lucky my son is used to it now and still own most guys!

I'm just getting to grips with the PS3 experience myself, from what I've seen updates and so forth are coming down nice and quickly. Burnout Paradise decided to suck down about 700mb worth of DLC last night, which came down very quickly. I do have KZ3 so I'll try and take a look at this one myself and see if I can pick up any issues.

If you can provide any details in terms of ports used and server addresses we'll definitely take a look.

I must say lastnight my ping to World Of Tanks server was not bad, I was getting 280-300 ms (this is the normal range for me) lets hope it stays like this...or gets lower :)

Will@mweb I will keep you posted

Hi Will, there has been no improvement on latency on Age of Conan, still getting 450 - 800ms ping with spikes up to 2k. There is no notable difference when using wtfast.

Update on the WoW Front : Another 2 nights of successful 25m Hc Raiding @ 265ms on a 1Mb/s line with little to no spikes at all. (Using WTFast) - Thanx whatever has been done to result in this!

I'm having a WoW issue here. I think it started on Wednesday. I often get stuck on loading screens, either when switching zones or just logging in. Tried it with and without WTFast.
According to threads on the EU WoW forum, Blizzard might have again changed something with the WoW packets (the structure or the routing or something, whatever), so maybe it's a routing or shaping issue because of that?

Here is the related thread on the WoW forum:

Most of the people complaining in that thread use Virgin Media in the UK for their ISP. Virgin Media's response can be found here http://community.virginmedia.com/t5...broadband/World-of-Warcraft-issue/td-p/530509

i will guess stuck at 90% right?

this how i got past i only had to do it once, works normally now, just log in any other char that's not in main city ,it should log in ,then log in with our main then it works.

if monitor our internet connection you will see it is at(0%) , it does not use the internet at all just stand stills, not sure why etc, but i don't have problem anymore.

make sure your addons is turned off when you to try log in , when you are in you can relog and turn addons on, and make sure nothing is running.

I had it a bit weird, i could not load orgrmar ,had to go load stormwind first go i was in ,then i relogged into orgemar, you just want to try to load a non busy city.

Edit: i see post 114 on wow thread suggest to do same thing works, for him or her.

its not a bust city issue i had died in bwd and released to the grace yard and got stuck there exited the game logged back in flew into the instance and got stuck there so my issue is the same as soulcode as well mweb please investigate this

Again today, can't even log into Age of Conan with mweb. Using wtfast causes disconnect all over the place. Using my backup account the problems are gone. Time to cancel mweb as this has been going on for more than a month now.

The problem persists. Please do something :(

anyone else experiencing major lag to wow? i can't play at the moment as it reaches 7/8k ms and disconnects.

For the past 5 days or so has been TERRIBLE for games like WoW and Bloodline Champs. Unplayable and dc often. I hate this fluctuation, just as i'm happy with my line it starts acting up again.
