MWEB ISP: Website timeouts

Hi

I'm an MWEB 4mb uncapped subscriber and frequently when I try to connect to websites (for example, www.iafrica.com) it simply times out. If I keep refreshing after a few minutes or so, if I'm lucky, it will connect.

I still have an old g-connect account which I switched to and it worked perfectly which leads me to think it is MWEB.

This is something which has been going on for months now! Does anyone else have the problem?

I have been having exactly the same issues! Also with a 4MB Uncapped uncapped line with MWEB. My backup ISP doesn't give me the same issues.
 
I have the same issues on 384 uncapped. My browsing was also terribly slow the entire weekend.
 
it's mweb... try manually entering there dns servers
 
Similar experience here over the weekend. Downloads go full speed , but browsing is horrid (When downloads are stopped obviously)

I have had this issue, but it actually goes away when shutting down torrents. Added, this does not happen on my telkom account.
 
Yep have to agree this is really annoying on my 384 line when I need to visit specific sites, however absolutely fine on my Telkom account?!
 
Yes, having this issue too. Even when browsing a website, every so often a page will time out, but a refresh will load it. Extremely annoying, especially because this is on a not-very-cheap uncapped, unshaped 4096 account.
 
MWEB operations, you figured this out yet? I knew I was not unique as a friend who is on the same MWEB Uncapped package has similar issues.

Worth noting that we both had similar issues with Telkom ISP too. It is just much much more common on mweb.

Unfortunately still experiencing browser unable to connect errors on a regular basis which is really annoying when downloading security updates or need to browse sites for important information.

Are you any closer to resolving the issue MWEB?
