Hi all,

I am having a major issue when using the mweb 4MB uncapped, I used to be able to access www.bitsoup.org with out any hassles. Now when I try it refuses to log in, it accepts my details but just keeps reverting back to the log on page. It works fine the moment I switch to my Webafrica account.

It is definately ISP related, why would it do this?

Thanks,
Blaze.

part of mweb's scaly guerrilla warfare.

They shape and throttle the hell out of certain sites/protocols as a means of keeping you away from them.

Good GOD you can talk BS.

Throttle yes but they cannot stop you using any site. Please show me the proof or some else your comments are just BS

Two different computers on the same network. LOL.

I have tried resetting router to deafults, etc etc? What am I missing, please enlighten me.

When you connect to the Internet your ISP assigns you an IP. More often these days its the same IP you had the last time. Reseting the router will not change your ISP given IP unless they decide to hand you a different one. Which is why the site worked on the WA account (as they would have given you a new IP), but when you went back to your Mweb account you probably got the old IP again.

Please deposit 10c for more enlightenment.

I am well aware of ip addressing, etc. I was just under the impression that we have to pay for static IP's and that we are assigned a new IP each time we reconnect? Is this not the case with Mweb or ISP's in general these day?

I guess with the growing number of users ip's are becoming scarce.

Coming soon, the wait to login for a free ip message :D

Ok, who remembers the days when you had to keep re-dialing into your isp because there wasn't a free modem to hook yours up? :p
