During Peak Hours My Ping in Games like COD WZ 2.0 goes from 4Ping all the way up to 200+

Apologies for high jacking the thread, but I've been having the same issue for the last 2/3months, only thought of coming to MyBroadband today.

My issue however, isn't that I get high ping during peak hours, I get constant 20-30% packet loss, during any time of the day, week days and weekends (on Evotel).

I play Dota 2, half of the time I play ranked (which we don't have local servers for), so I end up playing either on EU servers, or I use Exitlag to jump onto SEA servers. Local servers are fine, the issue is only when I'm on international servers.

I have been nagging Mweb for these past months to see what's going on, I've done speed tests, trace routes, swapped routers, tried it on a different computer in the house, got a friend that stays in the same complex with the same issue who's also on Mweb.

Does anyone perhaps a higher up contact at Mweb that I can communicate with? Mweb's support really has gone down the drain.

I was on MWEB long ago, I had packet loss for over 6 months, constant calls from their best "techs", it was never fixed, as soon as I moved to Afrihost, all sorted instantly

I highly suggest you move to Afrihost if you don't want any issues with packetloss, if you have issues, Afrinatic and Afrigirl are here to fix any issues you have

Edit: I am also on MetroFibre and 1Gbps and only had 2 disconnect since moving to Afrihost and one of those disconnects was Metros fault

If I didn't have a R1800 cancellation fee, I'd have done this weeks ago.

The last call I received from Mweb was that they are unsure what the issue is, as all the pings and trace routes seem fine...

Pretty sure Afrihost can cover cancellation fees @AfriNatic or @Afrigirl does it apply here?

Hi. If the client incurred a cancellation fee with their ISP when migrating to us, we credit the fee from the R5000 sign-up promotion as soon as the client has submitted proof of payment for the cancellation fee.

I am having the sam,e problem with MWEB. 250ms+ latency with packet loss for 20 minutes , then fine for maybe 30 and then back to over 200ms latency again.
I normally have 150ms to 37.244.28.101, which is EU starcraft 2 server.

What is the current afrihost latency to EU. Specifically 37.244.28.101 ?
