MWEB mobile data prices unveiled

I was tempted. But no thanks. I just need something plain simple as prepaid. Especially if its mweb. I just want a simple deal without signing up.

Never, ever, eva, neva, nooit, geenkans, nochance,
giving an ISP the right to continue charging after cap has been reached,
regardless of the price per mb/gb/tb!
Its a recipe for a heart attack.

I tried CellC. To some extent, liked them.
BUT, the moment I left the urban areas i.e. on the N2 between PE and George, no more signal. So.. eh.. exciting!
Now who's gonna be so dof to do sign up this??

Oh really? I've only really heard of them in passing and only here on MyBB. They are some minor ISP, but other then that, I know nothing of them.
Best marketing team in SA indeed

Non tech savvy people will stay with MWEB but eventually they will ask somebody with a bit more knowledge of ISP's and I assure you Afrihost will be one of the first names mentioned along with Openweb, TI, Webafrica, Plugg and Axxess.

By the end of November all out business accounts will have moved from MWEB to Afrihost.

Cell C's own Giga packages offer much better value than this. Their Giga100 prepaid costs R2499 which, broken into monthly cost and data, means R208 for 8.3GB per month. The Giga200 amounts to 4.1GB peak + 12.5GB midnight for R150 per month (R1799 once-off).

Unless of course you MUST HAVE month-to-month...

I demand 120GB for R199.

I win.

Neither of us are winning anything. We're both being fleeced by the ****ing overcharging mobile networks!

The best deal is 200GB for R1800 by Cell C with only 50GB available during hours and the rest is night surfer.

This is a very sad ****ing picture!

OOOOOOOOOOPPPPPSSSSS.....

Yeah except as I then discovered the Vodacom one is tied into a 24 month contact. Given how much the market is changing it's probably better to still rather pay a bit more (or bit less) for month to month.

Interesting. They should really advise how existing Cell C customers can take advantage - too little coverage on that front.

MTN subscribers should ask the same question of Afrihost Mobile. They at least chose one of the bigger networks.
