We are in a comlex in Kenilworth where we have MWeb/Openserve. Had some cameras installed with a monitor to a dedicated room a couple of metres from our unit. Applied for fibre from MWeb/Openserve but were told that only a person or business can get it. Body Corporate has a healthy balance and by law there has to be a certain percentage of money in account. Have registration number bank account for complex with accountant that can supply any details, but no luck. Try to speak to management but no phone numbers or e-mails available to contact anyone. What to do?

Your area doesnt have fibre. Its just provisioned for FTTB meaning that they will run a fibre line from the nearest node to where its needed. This kind of install is anywhere from 50 to 400k too install with massive monthly prices due to the 1:1 connection and SLA that would be signed

We have Openserve fibre in our complex. Box is on my wall for complex. Problem is not with Openserve but MWeb that has this strange policy to not recognize a body corporate wth managing agent as a business.

Maybe try another ISP? Check out Afrihost or CISP. It could be your lucky stars aligning since Ive read some bad things about mweb and personally got burnt with mweb's policies.
