Mweb overcharging

I have a 5GB ADSL account with Mweb. I've been paying R219 per month for DATA only. I pay Telkom for my line. However i see on their website that a 5GB package goes for R145. This is illegal, WHY must I pay R74 more, for a service? Ive been trying to sort this and MWEB are unresponsive. Their call center is Useless, they Never reply to emails.... Bloody bunch of thieves.... Only reason I'm still with them is my email address is Very important... I've now been holding for the manager for 22 minutes........... :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
you could just get uncapped for that price :/

Spoke to a "senior" manger who "promised" they will sort this out...... Hope they do, BUT i'm still going to legally take this up. since HOW can you advertise something and charge something else? If you advertise R145pm for a service, and you offer me the service exactly as advertised, NO EXTRAS, WHY DO YOU CHARGE MORE? I should be reimbursed for ALL the months I'cve been paying EXTRA...... I'm just disappointed... Here I though MWEB was for customer service...

So you have been paying more for months you say? Do you not check your bank statements etc at least once a month??? Yes it was a bad mistake of them to make, but really now, months pass and you don't notice it??? :rolleyes:

Hi Zakdoc

Please note that the R219.00 product is a legacy product that allow's simultaneous connections from 2 different locations, while the R145.00 product only allows a connection from 1 location.

The mweb account in question is paid annually in Feb. Last year payment was made while the service still costed R219. This year when payment was due in Feb I queried the price and requested it be adjusted accordingly the response subsequently has been putrid to say the least.

Mweb have vowed to resolve the issues. Have so far credited the account accordingly and "downgraded" me to a cheaper package.
