MWEB - SEACOM OUTAGE UPDATE

You need to take the DSL part out of your login name on your router and reboot ( assuming you are on Mweb )

*********@DSLMweb.co.za ( take out DSL ) so it reads ***********@mweb.co.za
I tested it and it works fine. seems you are sent via SAT3 ( SAIX IP ).

Not sure though if you will get charged for this ???

Thank you kind sir - that at least gives me gmail

iv got no international but torrents running at a steady 420kbs!, very strange......

No can do. My router has a hardwired dropdown for the "@..." part of the login details, so I can't change it to "@mweb" because that's not on the list :(

What kind of a solution is this though? Are you logging on a "dial-up" user or what, if the "dsl" part is removed?

Can you not put your router in bridge mode and just create a PPOE connection?

My usenet works @ 400+ but have stopped it in fear i will get charged for the dl's with the above fix

@mweb is heavily shaped, can't use VPN or games over it

As well as browsing is almost non-existant

Not exactly sure how to do that, but I'll have a look. If international is available, why do we need to jump through these hoops -- why is not available to all of us?

all international peers, shows im not connecting to anyone in swarm, no uploading but downloading from international peers, europe and us mostly

Same here its quite awesome actually (well the P2P part). Cause i cant access international still, its strange

Reset your Router, and you will find your international working.
