MWeb, the deceiving Company.

Wait till after the world cup when Telkom will have way to much bandwidth on there hands to deal with.

Just the opposite, the shaping keeps you behind the desk because you have to wait for everything not going through a download manager.

Interesting point. Like last night when torrents didn't finish after 9 hours of d/l for 340Meg (honestly). So that could explain why browsing in the morning is slow if people left their PCs running and went to work or school. If they allowed faster speeds overnight the downloads would all finish. Is that an odd idea?

Great idea, however MWEB is not concerned about your experience but instead their bottom line....

I do wonder why there's such a large difference between user experiences - I'm still more than happy with Mweb as I manage to download everything I want (I haven't even tried this month and have done 66Gb), watch youtube with no freakin' buffering and use stuff like street view with loads taking about 2 seconds. I use mainly rapidshare with Jdownloader and torrents and a LOT of big http downloads. I tend to grab distros to test on machines I'm going to roll out and it's nice to get one in < 20 mins.

I get that people have bad experiences - I honestly do wonder how much is:

a) not understanding the service (going to rapidshare, trying to download everything and going OMG, it's slow! for example)
b) genuine mweb issues
c) genuine telkom issues
d) Both b and c
e) competition companies slating mweb (this is probably the smallest reason of the lot - in the first month I can understand but now?)

I'm interested in actually pinning down the reasons and think we should do a proper investigation but keep out stuff like MWEB ARE GOD! and MWEB ARE SATAN! so we have a proper set of data. There's clearly a problem sometimes - I mean it's unpossible that this many people are just wrong but to what extent is the complaining valid?

Option E applies to tanya who works at that easygb place or whatever. Nobody would bitch like it does without canceling. Seems fairly obvious she has an agenda.

Today my speeds were good during the day in terms of websites and email. Plus i got 8gb down last night. Now if mweb fix my ping i will be stoked :D.

Still lots of love in my heart for their uncapped :p

I migrated my whole account from telkom to mweb. Got the uncapped from mweb line speed dropped emailed them how many times about line speed no go. Asked them about migration of my whole account> everytime they just send me the same email to fill in online forms .Did it about 4 or more times still with telkom and since telkom was notified of my migration by myself my 4meg line was canceled 3 tomes and had lank problems connecting again. Dont know what to do anymore not a millionaire and just want what i am paying for help please help[
