Anybody signing a contract on uncapped is not very clever. I will never sign a 6 month contact with these oke's EVER.
As much as MWEB would like you to believe 150GB is downloading the internet its not, not even close

I definitely have an MWEB uncapped account and I think the performance is brilliant currently.
As Far as throttling goes, I have not been throttled as I use the account in an acceptable manner
Oh - this is precious. Rakabos hit the spot.
with AH. Account shaped and as at 18th Oct doing 76Gb projected to +/- 150Gb.
While DL's are shaped heavily, I can watch Youtube @ 360p and surf at full speed.
MWebGeyser - maybe i'm one of the five who roundhouse kicked MW squarely in the nuts. But FIVE?? Really I think you cant count better than a 6 year old Limpopo maths student with no textbook!

Well they have the odd "abuser" complaining on HP and FB..... Don't think this PR disaster is going away soon
I am just amazed at their tactics ... First the whole "this is the first thing we anticipated", then the blame the "abusers", then it was "blame 5 people" now it silence....
Ouch I see this thread is being throttled off the front page, luckily I still have some bandwidth left so bump. Also for the unwise three new games have been released all with over 30gb downloads. This makes a mockery of Mweb uncapped service as being able to be gaming friendly. The fact that their network is optomised for gaming means nothing if you cannot download the games. This is the irony of mwebs AUP. You download a pc game and they throttle you. You are called an abuser. Simple home truth Mweb does not have the bandwidth to meet demand. No matter wehat they say or how they spin-doctor they have stuffed up

In the Uncapped Feedback thread a chap got throttled at 430GB on his 4mbps premium. That's why I suggest going to that site to check your 30 day window and throttle status.

Its a bit random from what I can tell as some gets thottled below 100gig and then most above it. However you'd find that Fudzy has done a lot more than that and have not been throttled.
Older vs newer accounts? who knows...
Throttling is linked to downloads and not overall data used. that is why some say they are throttled just over 100gb while others can reach 160gb before being throttled. This is all on the 1mbps account. Mwebguy has confirmed that different accounts (line speeds and account types ) have differebt thresholds. The biggest point of confusion is the My Adsl stats feature which measures total usage rather than downloads.
Those that claim they are throttled below 100gb normally have 100gb downloaded over the 30-day rolling threshold cycle. In other words you can use 101gb in October. On the 1st of November you can download 500m and because the 1st day of your cycle you only used 500m as well you will be on 100,5gb which is over the 30 day threshold ergo you are throttled.
Really wish Mybroadband would do a meaningful story on the 30 day rolling threshold because that is the crux of every issue with Mweb.
