Mweb Uncapped 4mbs Steam Speeds

Hello,

What do you guys thnk of the speeds you get on the steam servers with the mweb uncapped 4mbs?
I was able to download at a constant 400kb/s!!! it was awusm but doing two downloads at once dropped it to about 320kb/s which is still very fast considering its in the morning and supposed to be shaped now?

How does steam go for you guys? i might actually buy steam games for once - it used to cost me more than the actual game to dowload it

EDIT: WOW my Modern warfare 2 download just went from 420kb/s to 476kb/s and it staying there!!

Good news bud, Steam is a priority site and doesn't get shaped. At least not in my experience.

Since MWEB I have been replacing my physical discs with steam equivalents. I us steam a LOT now.

Nvidia for drivers, downloads came down at a solid 400K +.

im busy downloading Counter strike: source (long time since ive played so updating) currently at 58% and its average is around 480/490kbps on my Telkom 4mbps line

Frankly it would be easier to say, only sites like rapidshare , newsservers and torrents are shaped. everything else is not.

Online games ARE shaped as well. In fact, only browsing
and normal downloads are not shaped.

you download. I noticed that MWEB would
close down anything that was discussed.
