WOW.

Ok, time to go look for a new ISP. I'm DEFINATELY not sitting with this rubbish for two weeks...

How about you come to the damn party and give us two week's worth of credit?? I guess it's just too much to ask for, right?

Which ISP though?????

Since Easter is approaching, a moral parable might be appropriate:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parable_of_the_Ten_Virgins

Five of the virgins are wise and have brought sufficient oil for their lamps. Five are foolish and have not.

The foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." But the wise answered, saying, "What if there isn't enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves."

Was forced to find an alternate isp, we have 9 people in our office who could not download 1mb worth of emails this morning.
and to just read TWO WEEKS etr. That means the easter weekend will be a long one indead.
I'm also keen to see a small refund or compensation on our accounts.

How the **** do you suppose to do in order to cancel your account immediately since MWEB's not taking any calls today?

anybody else having problems with receiving email on mweb?

I got through to billing eventually. They said downgrading now will negate my cancellation. So I said fine, downgrade me to a R29 capped account and then cancel that, seeing as the account terminates end of April anyway. Then they said they weren't sure what to do and put me on hold. Then the call ended while I was on hold. Phoning back now...

What region are you? If I ping Via Afrihost or Vox, its perfect.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If you couldn't manage redundancy for two strikes already, then surely there will be nothing for the next time. Previous fail was last month...

So which are you guys going with:
[] Telkom uncapped
[] Openweb gold
[] Afrihost business
[] WebAfrica
[] Axxess
[] Stying, love mweb redundancy

Axxess till the end of the month + Mweb R29 1 gig capped to preserve email address

After that, think I will try Afrihost again (all the while keeping the R29 option going - that way if Mweb ever finds its way back again from the deep dark hole they've dug for themselves, it's a snap to switch back)

PS - this is precisely why I've my line management with Telkom and not bundled with ISP - allows flexibility

Compare trace routes with mine...

MWEB Guy

We are all aware that MWEB is running at reduced efficiency due to SEACOM being down.

What we all would like to know is why MWEB's efficiency is so poor when other ISP's do have backup plans that keep their customers running at nearly full capacity.

So please try to answer this question since it is what everyone here want to know!

Thank you

They should do the right thing (admit fail) and allow cancellation without wait period.

Email [email protected] and request the necessary forms. I'm still waiting for a reply, bit at least I have proof I requested cancellation before the last working day, so April will probably be my last mweb month. Sad times.
