Seems like international is kinda broken atm. Same problems with LoL, can't watch streams at all, and torrents at 20kB max.

Same here.
What is going on with the internet? Both Telkom Uncapped and MWeb uncapped is useless! Speedtest does not even load properly to run a test.

Hi oober
If you are having similar experiences with different ISP accounts, it is more than likely it is the line that is acting up. Have you taking this up with Telkom yet?
How would I troubleshoot this to determine if it's the line? Any thing I can do from my side to verify this?
Ps. www.mybroadband.co.za feels snappy and fast.
Hi Mweb,
I have a client with his ADSL down since 26 Apr in Edenvale.
In your Network Status it shows DOWN and OPEN.
Outage Num:15338
Telkom ADSL outage affecting Edenvale ( 011 - 453, 454 )
Telkom ADSL services in the following area may be Inaccessible : Edenvale ( 011 - 453, 454 )
Start Date:2013-04-26 08:08:57
End Date:
Status:Open
According to Telkom, the ADSL lines are all 100% in the area. Is it only MWEB or do I have to test that line with another ISP?
MWeb Guy, is this a good example of the shaping rules being implemented on the HTTP protocol for file downloads more than 4MB?

Hi guys
We have no reported issues with international traffic that we aware of. Please let me know if your experience improves.
Hi solsagan
I'm a bit confused in your query and pic.
Are you having slow download speeds via Http traffic and what is the speed you getting?
I don't know if you ever used speedof.me before, it is based purely on http. You can read on the site how it actually works. In short, it will double your download size until it takes longer than 8 seconds. Now on the picture it indicates that as soon as the 4M header was sent with the http download, the download speed dropped to ~700kb.
I was just wondering if this is the method being implemented to prevent people from downloading large files over http?
