Mweb is F*****, move to Afrihost you won't be sorry........

I am crying here because of Mweb's 30 Day calendar notice Bull, I have to pay for a service that does not work and I am basically forced to use it, or it will cost me extra to have the extra accounts......

Not Ayoba! I got tired of this up and down, left to right story with Mweb. When it works it works well! But when Mweb has problems it lasts for months!

It's curiosity, not on behalf of anything chop ......... and btw, it's not a hassle. To say that makes me suspect you're having crap all round but want some Mweb drama.

This trace route does not good at all, it starts spiking from hop 2 already which points to something closer to your end.

You said that it works fine with another ISP's details.

Please setup your router with those details and provide me with trace route results so that I can compare.

Don't worry I get the same with Mweb, second & third hop is about 500-800ms with my Mweb account.
But with my Afrihost account my second hop is 23-25ms, third hop is 30-40ms.......
with my Telkom account my second hop is 28-33ms, third hop is 38-48ms.......
Mweb say it is congestion on my exchange, but I beg to differ as other ISP's are fine???
 
Streaming speed is very bad at the mo. Trying to download new Silverlight install and it's been stuck on 10% for over 5 minutes, on a 12Mb download?

Hi Kosmik

There is nothing else running int the background, correct? I have refreshed your MWEB account, please allow for 30 min to pass then reboot the router & test again.

I'll try that thanks, nothing in the background at the mo besides Skype and steam both idle.

I am having the same issue, streaming is horrific!! I don't mind that torrents are being shaped to pieces, but streaming and http should be good surely?!
