Hi

For the last 2 weeks I have had very bad latency issues.
I enjoy a game now and then, but online play is impossible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Thank you for the feedback, it's almost certainly as a result of a congested exchange but I could log a line fault for you if you'd like.
The trace looks good and so does the speedtest if you compare it to the earlier test you posted.
Please check again tomorrow as you said but I doubt it will change.

Did several traces this weekend, results were the same each time:

This was taken at about 2pm today (Sunday).
How is this at all acceptable? Congestion during peak hours in the evenings on a weekday is one thing, but ALL day Saturday and Sunday? What am I paying for exactly? I can only use it on weekends and weekday nights.

Surely all day congestion on weekends is abnormal?

Hi

Please drop me a PM with your account info and I will look into this for you.
Also please let me know which game you playing, on which servers and on which platform.

4Meg uncapped line is super slow.

Western Cape.

Hi

I checked your account now on my side and it seems fine.
I can't see anything that would cause a problem with your speed.
Could you please check if your speeds have improved, if not, drop me a PM with your latest speed test and trace results.

Hi

Weekends and week nights are all part of peak congestion times.
These are the times when most users utilize the internet, during the day on week days, most users are at work.

Off peak congestion

Oddly I see a pattern here,
It seems that the back end of the month is generally slow.
I usually stream from http://rt.com/on-air/ for the first 2-3 weeks and from there on its not really watchable even during office hours on my 4mbs premium account.

Good Day, is this the only website you are having trouble streaming from?

Please also DM me your MWEB account details

It does seem generalized.
Some are OK, but most not and they are all over HTTP.

With my wife streaming absolute radio in the lounge, but apparently that keeps buffering at 120kbps

Hi MWEB Guy,

I just sent you a PM as my 4Meg is running dead slow. I included my PingPlotter results. The problem appears to be in Durban on IP 41.133.66.1 (The Mweb gateway).

Regards
