I'm getting a "Failed to connect: Operation timed out" error when trying to connect to the news server.

I just tested on our test bench and was able to download content from the news server. It could possibly be the application. I would advise trying another application.

is there an international link down or are we being rerouted for maintenance, because I'm getting quite a lot of international latency.
Local is fine but you tube videos are just buffering way to much, and on twitch.tv i cant even watch anything.

Getting absolutely horrible international speeds at the moment. Local seems to be cruising but unfortunately the site I need to access for work is not localCan't even get speed test to run. Anyone else?
Getting issues with international again, specifically getting packet loss in DDO when any pingtest reports no loss anywhere else :/

Just wanted to inform you that Mweb's 1 month cancellation notice period is a scam.
Sent my cancellation email on the 30th June from business email address as my Mweb address wasn't working.
10 days later I received the form I need to fill out for cancellation of my account.
However Mweb tells me now that my cancellation will only be processed as of the 10th and not the 30th June when my email was sent.
So now I'm going to have to pay for another month all due to Mweb's pathetic administration.
