MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi

I must say that Mweb have not been great for me lately. I watch a webcast weekly and even at 400kbps feed, it is just not feasible. Playing Diablo 3 at 400+ ping is also not pleasant. I have a 4mbps line.
 
local ping over 200
and just normal internet is slow today
yesterday it was unstable to about 85-150 ping and it is usaly 40-60 in the server i play
and get bad ping spikes,now its just verry high :/

Hi

I have checked your account and I cannot see any issues on the account.
I have since refreshed the account for you our servers to see if improves your connection.
Please could you power down the router for about 5mins then test again and let me know.

Are we going to see pricing for 6 and 8mbs? Pointless to grab a 10mbs and you can only sync at 6...
 
Just want to know if this is normal: When we were upgraded to 1mb I loved being able to stream with next to no waiting/buffering, but the last week or so I have noticed the speeds for streaming being as slow as it was back when we had 384kb. Is this now the norm? Everything else seems fine still..

What site you streaming off?
 
I don't know what's happening with my Mweb uncapped account - last night I was connecting to the BF3 servers at 20ms, and the Internet was super quick. Now I can't even get DSL speed test to run? Connecting from Magoebaskloof on 4MB line, any suggestions, please?

My friend is having problems with his net. If i gave you the account details would you be able to tell me if there is a fault on his line?

Have not been on here for ages.... with good reason. My line is working fine.
Of course I have a hiccup here and there but in general it's wonderful.

So, what am I here for? To say thanks to MWEB_Guy, he's just awesome. I had an issue with them cancelling the ADSL part of my account on a Sunday. Well, went onto twitter, got it sorted the same day!! On a Sunday! I was very impressed.

There is just no other ISP right now that has such good line speed and customer service.

also started playing a bit of Diablo III, no lag AT ALL, unless I am downloading something like Ubuntu at full line speed with an accelerator.

Well Done MWEB for putting MWEB_Guy on alot of places to assist. Most ISP's will give you a telephone number for client services when your line is down, you then have to go and look it up on someone else's PC because your phone takes forever to load a webpage. Then when you call for something urgent, they are closed on a Sunday or at the time when you most need them.

Touch wood nothing goes wrong with my line after this :p

I find mweb very inconsistant of late. I play Diablo 3 and the pings could be low at times and other times it is in the 1000's...which makes the game just unplayable.

Streaming netcasts is another issue.
