my download from easynews is currently +-50KB/s, its normally 400+ constant.

also getting web timeouts

4meg uncapped

Question - Is Mweb de-prioritizing gaming? Because, after 6pm or 7pm, latency shoots through the roof and then come 6am or 7am, it stabilises again.

I noticed multiple queries that are similar. I have logged this to our engineers so that they can look into it.

Hi Mephisto_Helix

Not that I'm aware of. If I understand correctly, you are saying that at night the latency is high and only stabilises in the morning.
 
Hi MWEB Guy, I'm also having the after 7pm dilemma down in Durbs. Any downloads or video streaming comes to a really slow speed.
 
I can confirm this as well after 6/7pm the Internet does go extremely slow (Though i hear openweb has the same issue - someone at work complained to me(IT) like i can fix it -_-), though during the day my line has no issues, Most likely conjestion due to all the 384k guys going mental but will prepare a post tonight with 1pm speedtest + traceroute

and again at 7:30pm

There definitely have been slow downs last night, much more than usual. I've even had authentication issues.

HTTP downloads have been going at 70KB/sec flat but at times going down to 1-2KB/sec and even timing out completely. That's on a 4 meg line/account. Gmail has been timing out. Even MWEB website had problems loading.

When this happens again, then provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.

This is starting to get annoying.

Every so often MWEB performance is disgusting. 40-50Kb/s download on a 2Mb Telkom line (MWEB account is 1Mb) is terrible.

Speed test is also showing +- 0.54 Mbs speeds.

browsing and downloading over the past week or so have become painfully slow. Gmail loads slowly. HTTP downloads at around 20-30kb/s max. have mailed mweb techies last night. 1mb uncapped account.
