MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

What's up with the download speed?

Got 400kbps+ on a 4Mbps premium account earlier this morning and after 09:00 speeds just dropped to around 100kbps?
 
Tried a reboot as well as doing a second PPPOE connection. Just get the 'Connecting' and then 'Unable to connect retry in ....". Guess I'l try later

I tested the news server on our news server and I was able to connect and download content.
 
Hey I can finally connect. Getting 0 Kb/s but atleast I can connect :P

Aye, it's dead in the water Cap'n, it stays connecting for ages and then manages to make a connection with like 1 thread but nothing downloads
 
I have restarted the router, switched it off for a while then on, alternated between @mweb.co.za and @dslmweb.co.za, cannot connect.
 
Seeing on other forums lots of others having no luck with the news servers today (3 forums, about 20 odd peeps). It's getting tiresome having a different issue each week :/

Seems like Afrihost News Server also down/not giving people what they want. So the best solution is maybe to just spend R100 on a seedbox, torrent the stuff and HTTP it over? That way it's like a news server, except less gay and dedicated to just you

Afternoon Mephisto_Helix, we cannot replicate the problem with the news server and we are testing from Cape Town.

Please change your username realm to @dslmweb.co.za and let me know if it makes any difference. (I put protected access back on as well).


Are you testing the MWEB news servers?
