I agree, why are we still shaped at this hour of the night?

office hours are 9-5 so surely thats when shaping happens???

This is standard for the shaped product. I am explaining this to you via private messaging

Think this may be a telkom issue.... Using a friend's WA account:

Will post my MWEB speedtest in a few.

EDIT: Speedtest not loading through mweb.

Morning X-Gamer

Are you still getting these results as mentioned? If so, I will need to log a line fault with Telkom so that they can check what is causing it.

I'm not at home to check right now, but earlier, they were still the same.
Thanks, you may log a fault.

Mweb Guy,

What changed on Mweb's network? Everything is very responsive and feels faster....

I don't know if it is just me, but I hope it stays like this......

Just posting this here incase mweb guy doesnt get the PM?

Hi Mweb Guy, Ive seemed to have gotten myself in a bit of a mess,

I was given short notice that I Have to move home by the end of this Month (30th April)

Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, so yesterday I gave mweb notice that I am moving and wanted to cancel all services till I get a telephone line at my new premises.

I am well aware that mweb needs a calender months notice and I will be paying for next month, I dont mind as I was short informed and have to move soon.

This morning speaking to telkom I was informed that they cant cancel or disable my telephone line as my ADSL line is with mweb?

This is very dangerous as I will be out of there by the 30th of April and any one moving in will be able to use my telephone and I will be forced to foot the bill...

Is there any possibility that mweb can move the line back to telkom early so I can cancel my telkom line?

I don't mind paying for next month of course?

Had the same issue when I moved from my old place about a year back,

You can get telkom to disable the line, once you telkom notice period starts. you will still pay for that month, but the new person cant make calls.

So, I got an SMS from Telkom saying that they can't detect any issues with my line... Now what?
My line stats are great, so I think it's an exchange problem, but how to communicate this?

I tried downloading from the Mweb gamezone FTP, but couldn't get speeds higher than 30kB/s. Maybe there's shaping happening now?

Thanks, the trace routes do look good.

There is definitely shaping occurring at the moment.
