MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

International Browsing is stuffed, online Gaming impossible, Speedtest does not even load to test local, pingtest has got so much packet loss it cannot even be measured, what more info do you need?

What info I need is how long will it take for my ADSL line to get transferred to another ISP if I cancel today.........

I have finally decided to cancel my mweb 4mb uncapped.
The amount of frustration and shocking speeds just isn't worth it anymore.
It seems to me like this is being done on purpose or else they would know something is wrong on their side.
I pay for 4mb I demand 4mb.
Not 2 or 3 but 4mb.
This last week brought great frustration and a waste of valuable time and still it's not performing.

So is MWEB Guy just going to leave us hanging, or are they absolutely clueless as to what the problem might be? Last night I could only do a speedtest via MyBB, the official speedtest page bombed out repeatedly. This morning still shows high pings on international.

Considering a move as well. Speeds lately has been declining sitting on 6gb for July and having this crippling speeds is rediculous. Only concern is how long it would take to move my ADSL account to another ISP seeps Telkom is the neciscary evil after all...

Cannot believe it's shaping on the data I used neither throttling. Also getting billed for R899 on 4mb uncapped but data + line gets advertised as R689 for new accounts seems I'm getting ripped off....

Aai eish... maybe there is no problem, it is just the way things are from now on. But hopefully the person responsible to fix things had a good night's sleep and is on the ball this morning.

Speed test for intl:

Test conducted on 11/7/2013 08:20:37

Download Speed: 74 kbps (9.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 30 kbps (3.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 201 ms

Yeah I'm way over it, grabbing cancellation forms asap ....... k@k international, k@k latency and throttled to absolute death ( 30kbps on a 4mb line) for 18 hours out of 24. Enough is enough.

So did another Port reset this morning and it fixed my pings for a bit, Reported the fault so hopefully this gets fixed soon

Adding to the list of people struggling with international access, my 4mbps connection suddenly slowed to a crawl at around 18:00 last night and hasn't got much better since. Local traffic seems okay (News24, MWeb load up fine) and only international seems to be affected, tried to get Speedtest results but couldn't get the website to load...

Seems MWeb has crashed, maybe that is why we get no reply from MWebguy
The Omnious silence is a bad omen..... Another day on 3g then.....

Same here -- international is hopeless, local a bit slow at Download Speed: 848 kbps (1 meg line) but usable...

I don't know if speedtest.net has a local server but I'm struggling to load the website!
Max nntp speed: 30kb/s
Max torrent speed 20kb/s
Max http speed: 20kb/s
on a 2mbps line with 1mbps account in cape town.
c'mon sort this out.

They realised we noticed the con scam they ran for the last few years. "Reset port, line problem, Telkoms fault, reboot the router after 30 minutes...etc". In the meantime their engineers knows jack all on how to run a ISP system effectively. I think the need to go train themselves at Telkom, Afrihost or Openweb on how to set up the network without cyclic swings. They just con themselves.

Seems to me like they're still trying to figure out what's going on. My bet is on Seacom issues.

Good Morning Everyone,

Please provide me trace routes and pings to mweb.co.za and bbc.co.uk. I also require speed tests to local and international.

We cannot pick up anything on our network at the moment and we would like to get to the bottom of this.

Your assistance with the required information, would be much appreciated.
