remember all P2P downloads are configured as the lowest priority ... HTTP links like.. Mediafire, Hulkshare, depositfiles ect ect will always download at full speed (depending if its a free service or paid subscription of course)

@ Mweb Guy
A friend of mine has a 1Mb line (1Mb all inclusive) with Mweb. (Currently it syncs at 1Mb).

When his line gets upgraded to 2Mb... will Mweb downgrade it again to 1Mb, or he be contacted with "what do you want to do", or will Mweb leave the line as it is?

Hi froot

We will not be doing upgrades automatically. You, your friend, will have the option to upgrade to the up to 2Mb data package or remain on the up to 1Mb data package.

The reason for this is because there is a price difference in packages and we can't do upgrades automatically.

I think I understand you correctly.
My line is with Telkom so mine will get upgraded to 2Mb while my Mweb account stays 1Mb.
My friend's line will stay 1Mb because he has an all-inclusive with Mweb.
We both have the option then to upgrade to 2Mb (and then his line may be upgraded).
Correct?

Correct, that is why we can't upgrade anyone to the up to 2Mb package because of the price difference. We do require the customers consent in order to do so.

Well according to Mweb the reason my 1MB package (ADSL line included) has been reduced toa 384kb line speed is because of the Telkom ADSL upgrade.. If Mweb knew this was going to happen, then why the fudge would you guys let me pay my whole months 4MB TELKOM bill for August just to migrate to your guys crappy 384kb speeds. God dammit this sucks.

Hi Wolfy

Was this explained to you when you wanted to downgrade to the up to 1Mb product? Please PM me with more information so that I can look into this from our side.

Hi MWEB Guy

Got an SMS today saying all is fixed, they are talking rubbish, it gets worse each day!

Hi oliverwww

Thanks for the feedback. I had a look into your account and the fault is still open, so I'll update it with your feedback.

I've now logged 2 faults with Telkom about my attenuation being 63 and they keep cancelling the fault and say everything is fine and its because I'm 3.5Kms from the exchange. :(
I give up!

Strange that they closing it off. They have always made sure I was happy before closing off a fault. Maybe the telkom guys in my area actually do their job.

Hi Awesum

3.5kms from the exchange is still within range, you have to be within 4kms.

I really don't know why they are saying you are far from te exchange.

I just checked it now.
I looks like they have fixed it. Its now 21Db. :)

Got home now and torrents are still terrible. Got two downloading with 5000+ seeders and they only going at 30kb/s.
