Got home now and torrents are still terrible. Got two downloading with 5000+ seeders and they only going at 30kb/s.

It's p2p. It's not going to run 100s during the day (and I'm happy, because it means that there's enough bandwidth for proper daytime use).

I dont download during the day. I only download at night unless its weekend. Its only been terrible since monday.

Soooo... it seems that I can ping a few internal IP addresses on the other side of my router and VPN is not set up, as far as I know this should not be?

Code:
C:\Users\ChrisH>tracert 192.168.1.1

Tracing route to 192.168.1.1 over a maximum of 30 hops

  1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1
  2 12 ms 11 ms 11 ms 41-132-70-1.dsl.mweb.co.za [41.132.70.1]

How the stuff did they do that!? I want in, mines at 52db

When I called to log the fault they kept saying "your line is fine sir. There is no fault". I forced them to log the fault and said I will pay if there is no fault. I called again yesterday after the line was fixed to find out what was wrong. They gave me the same response, "your line is fine sir. There is no fault". So I'll never know what was wrong.

Thanks to MWEB Guy and the rest for sorting out my intermittent internet connection, and thanks for the follow up calls, everything is back to normal.

Hey, do I need to change the connect mode of my router to ADSL2+ (auto-fallback)? Just to avoid line sync issues when the line get upgraded.

Hi DarkSpectre

I don't believe you need to change anything. I would suggest first having a look once the upgrades are done automatically before changing anything.

Hey MWEB guys, my line still hasn't been upgraded so does this mean you will reduce my debit order to the new 1Mbps rate? I am still on R488 which isn't even an advertised price on your site anymore...

Hi simmo44

The upgrades are to start today. Bear in mind that Telkom has set aside a 6 week period for each phase in order to complete the upgrades.

I can't say when the exchange you connecting to will be upgrades, we not sure how Telkom are going about doing th upgrades.

Thanks for the quick response, 6 weeks is more than one billing though - is MWEB's approach to update all billing rates at the end of this period (mid October)?

I am not having issues with news servers that I've seen, but I am having some issues loading some pages, all at random.

Hi Guys

I have just checked my side and there are no reported that would cause these issues besides the ones on our status page.
