Not saying I'm not :), I just noticed the change about a week or so ago, and was wondering if anything had changed.

The network is dynamic and the demand for priority traffic will vary from day to day.

No real change ;)

So streaming and Http download are being shaped as well now.

Afternoon Vorador, are you having a problem with streaming and true http download speeds?

Streaming and true Http are prioritised on our network.

Yea normal/true http downloads not going more than 60kbs
and streaming between 50-80 kbps

Speedtest shows correct speeds

Are you testing them individually? Also please provide me your MWEB account details via private messaging.

iv currently have a mweb uncapped 4mb shaped account, just wanting to know has anyone been having speed issues this past week? seem to be getting very varied speeds, nothing constant, My house mates have been streaming super sport pretty much everyday during the afternoons, am I possibly being throttled? i checked account usage and have used about 124 GB this month as of now? If for instance someone is streaming super sport or youtube, we experience really bad download speeds, even websites some times take ages to load, last month we never had these issues whilst streaming

Good evening. Am trying a 4mb uncapped account on a new router. Skype will not connect and I cannot access facebook . Everything else works fine (p2p, youtube, steam etc). Is this a router setting or something else? I've set up the router as per the settings on the mweb website.

Hi Curryboy

When multiple services are being used via 1 connection the speeds are going to be shared. If there is no downloading running in the background how is the connection?

Hi Refugee_ZA

Have you perhaps tried a different browser and do you perhaps use your own DNS's?

Nope, the DNS settings are on auto with no manual entries. Have done a factory reset of the router now, and still same issue.

After further inspection, it seems to only be loading sites that are locally hosted/mirrored, ie. most of google's services besides gmail, couple of other local sites are fine, but anything hosted internationally seems not to be working. Very odd. Have tried Chrome and IE now (besides default of FF) and no difference.

please please please tell me mweb is buying more bandwidth soon. Obviously the 2MB upgrades are putting more of a strain on the system than initially anticipated and obviously the 1MB upgrades are going to do the same.

Hi Refugee_ZA

Thanks for the detailed info. Please inbox me your MWEB account details & I'll investigate further.

"Kinda" does not quite cover the gap.
Neither does "a-bunch-o-corporate-douche-bags".

Mweb's superior product beats the pants off everything else I've tried.... and I've tried everything else ;)

And here we go again with increased international latency ...... exactly the same issue as the other night, sigh, really. This is now becoming a real joke.
