MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi mwebguy,

My line was recently upgraded to 1mbps. And I think its time for uncapped. I just want to know is online gaming play given priority? And does our gaming priority drop the more we download?

Gaming gets high priority on our Network.

When downloading, gaming and browsing all at the same time will have a negative impact on the quality of the services.

I had done some browsing on forums on how to upgrade and had managed to get telkom to upgrade my adsl line, which is now 1mb/s!

The problem is just that my download speed is at <40kb/s.

Is there any reason that using Mweb's SMTP server that I have to wait almost 5 minutes to send a 58kb email?

Please?

Good Afternoon, please provide me your MWEB account details and I will investigate this from my end.

Also, what type of downloads are you running? Is it direct downloads or are you using a download manager?

Dleay and slow international seems to be sorted now :D thanks! But international is strange
 
I switched over to our domain smtp today and the emails were instant. I really wish that Mweb will sort out their smtp servers, it's ridiculously slow.

Glad things are sorted oliverwww.

Strange with international, we have no reported issues regarding that at the moment.

I've had issues on Mweb smtp randomly for the past month Mweb Guy. I don't have any logs or MTR stats to provide (my mistake), but at random intervals emails just refuse to send.

POP3 works fine and as I said previously, switching to our hosted domain account smtp there are no issues either.

I tried for 10 minutes today to send a 58kilobyte email, seriously. It's not even the size of a water drop. It just refused. It was important, so I had to switch smtp accounts.

I use Mweb smtp for our helpdesk as well and the past 3 weeks I get a delay when submitting a reply to a ticket or submitting a new ticket, because the smtp servers suck, if I could put it that plainly.

If I have some time I will provide you with tests you need, but I suggest for the interim if you could check whether you have the same complaints elsewhere.

Download Speed: 1151 kbps (143.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 181 kbps (22.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 21 ms

that shows normal,but the upload is low

speedtest shows normal,but browsering youtube is verry slow

I have refreshed your MWEB account however could not recreate the ADSL port as the router is off.

Please switch on the router and let me know so that I can refresh the port.

I have emailed my application form and ID and rica stuff two days ago
and now I get sms that I must email the stuff?

WTF??? How many times do I have to email it?

Please make sure that my account will not be disabled because of
some stupid sales system that you guys have.

I have emailed this again this morning to [email protected].

Please ask the sales team to open their eyes before sending out sms's

Hi Mweb Guy, Please can you get someone to contact me again? Someone did phone yesterday, but my line wasn't in yet so I couldn't give the lady a land line number.

Telkom just finished installing my line and the line is active and I've got my number so we can proceed with the ADSL order.

You should still have my number in the PM I sent yesterday.
