MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi Mweb Guy, Please can you get someone to contact me again? Someone did phone yesterday, but my line wasn't in yet so I couldn't give the lady a land line number.

Telkom just finished installing my line and the line is active and I've got my number so we can proceed with the ADSL order.

You should still have my number in the PM I sent yesterday.

I've sent the application forms through including my ID and proof of reg, but my mail also bounced back with:

mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded

Would appreciate it if you can assist me with this. Thanks!

and no use calling them to ask them for new address as they put the phone down.
support does not answer my emails.
billing does not answer my emails.
sales does not answer my emails.

at least I got a ref number from the complaints email address.

hoping mweb guy will fix this before they close my account for not sending the forms.

What happens is the line is ok for 10 secs or so and then it dies. I have to refresh the page a few times to get it up again.

It happens via wifi on my fone as well, IE and FF does the same.

Can you please reset my account on you side

Is your DSL cable plugged into a filter/splitter?

No the line comes straight to the router.

NNTP run fine seem like just HTTP, but i will see how it goes now

Horrible speeds at the moment. Some int webpages wont load properly, torrents are dead... come on guys!

There are no international issues that we aware of. What pings are you getting the international sites? Also, PM me the MWEB email address so that I can check out a few extra things.
 
Back down to less than 1/2 speed again. Less than 40k on a 1mb service. I think this happened the same time last week. Is there some kind of weekly upgrades/servicing going on?

Seems fine now. Maybe a small momentary hickup?
 
Well all I know is that since last night and from about 5PM today till now, the data coming through the line has been intermittent. Some data comes through for a while and then for a minute or several, there is nothing. This is either indicative of either (A) an M-WEB problem or (B) a Telkom exchange problem in the Johannesburg Ekhuruleni East-Rand area (possibly extending further for all anyone knows). It's one or the other. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. My router is operating normally.
So my simple and best advice would be to be to take a careful look at both and see exactly what is happening. You're welcome!
