MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi there,

Noticed today that MWEB announced that they will contact about 120 users to take part of the 40Mbps VDSL trail. Do you by any chance have more details about this?

Do you know what the selection criteria is?

Thnx in advance.

I do not have any more information on this.

MWEB Guy, please tell me why your website is completely unusable.

Telkom upgraded me finally to 2mb, so I want to upgrade my account and pay you more money... just go onto the website and upgrade right ? Well an hour later and now I am just angry.

Step 1: Try to login to mymweb.
Try mweb details, it says not recognized. Try first time logging in link, says email invalid. So much for mweb account

Try again, go pick the product I want, click upgrade. Type in my account details, invalid. Verify they are correct by putting them back into the router. Still wont take them. If I try use an alternate address it says my ID is tied to another account if I put in my mweb address it asks me to fill in the exact same form and then says that my id is tied to another account.

Why the hell is it so hard to give you more money. Tried calling, sales shut for the night, support line cant help with website queries. Seriously worthless.

Thank you for notifying me about this.
I will escalate this to the relevant department.
Send me your MWEB details and I will arrange for a sales consultant to contact you with regards to the upgrade.

@Mwebguy, I don't know if any one has already asked but is the 2 month free special only valid for 1mbit accounts or all of them? Also is it then also available for the data only portion (i.e. can I keep my line with Telkom)?

It is for all our adsl products.
Please not that this is for new subscribers.

Hi MWEB Guy,

I'm really having endless issues with Telkom. If it's not the constant loss of sync, then it's an unbearable congestion problem in the evenings that renders my line useless. It only starts picking up again closer to midnight. Below is a speedtest result that I just did now, after I was finally able to open the speedtest website, and this is one of the better speeds that I've been getting recently in the evenings (2 meg line).

My question is, if I move my line to you guys, will you be able to expedite a resolution of this problem? They've already closed the fault 3 times without resolving it, or even calling to confirm if it's been resolved, and I'm quickly losing patience with them. Thanks for your help :)

Good morning Mike

If you migrate your line to MWEB then we will be able to escalate this to Telkom and our 3rd party team will stay in contact with them until the query is resolved.

Hi Mweb Guy.

I got the following message on Friday:

"We would like to confirm that we have received your documentation. Once we have completed a few necessary steps on our side, we will submit the order to Telkom. Once Telkom have confirmed receipt of your order we will contact you again to explain the next steps."

Do you by chance know how long it takes for you guys to submit to telkom? I'm in a huge rush tbh, according to Mweb, there is only 4% ADSL availability left in the area. It's vital for me to get ADSL as I do a lot of work from home.

Please if there's anything we can do, I'll greatly appreciate it.

Hi Persona7986

Tell me which email address you have sent this request to and from which email address and I will follow up on this for you.

Thank you for the quick response - like always :D

I've sent the info along with my customer number (in case it helps).

PS: Please take note, my cellphone was unfortunately stolen on Sunday, so please contact me by email.

Thanks Mweb guy, you have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Anyone else getting absolutely rubbish speeds via HTTP?

Would normally get 440Kbps, but as of 4/5 weeks ago from 1pm till 12pm at night the speeds can range from 40Kbps to 180Kpbs.

Mweb likes to screw people over who don't complain often.

Hi MWEB guy. I just got my mweb 4mb uncapped installed in my new house and I have terrible DL/UL rates. Telkom said to me there is a network issue in the area but wont give me any details.
