Also noticed my news server downloads have dropped from a consistent 120-140kbps to around 60kbps in the last hour.

Also 2mb line with 1mb uncapped.

when i do a speed test it stable around .25 and near at the end it jumps high (just jumped to 5mbps) and then jumps down to around 1mbps and then show normal speed as the result

Good Day Sybertiger, 40-50kb/s download speeds on a 1mb shaped account is not bad this time of day.

What type of downloads are you running?

Good Day MOngooseMan, those downloads speeds are not bad at this time of the day... Not at all...

You do have a shaped account...
 
normal http downloads
and i usaly get full speed
even last night youtube had some probs streaming 360p
been a few days now

Please allow me to turn on monitoring on your account, as I would be able to monitor your traffic.

Ok so I have logged on with my mweb account. Browsing seems ok. Tried downloading of a news server and was getting 80 k/b which is ok. Tried getting a torrent going and am struggling to get over 10 k/b. Is this because of the shaping policy? when would it be easier to download torrents? ( off peak time? what is the off peak times?)

Good Evening, torrents will be impacted on whether the demand for higher preference traffic increases or decreases. The less the demand for other traffic, the more bandwidth available for the lower preference traffic.

Quick question since I saw this one page back -

Does it matter that my realm is still @mweb.co.za and not @dslmweb.co.za? Will it make a difference if I change it?

The only reason I ask to change a realm, would be to force a new IP connection. That does sometimes help.

Good Evening Soulcode, as far as I know our network is back to normal. Please let me know if you are still having trouble with your connection.
 
nzbs slow(10-20kb/s). http browsing and downloading also still slow (20/30kb/s). Has been like this for most of the day.
Am i being shaped/throttled?

my nzbs also started moving slowly (15kb) but i see it's picked up again. going back to 60-80 k/bs.

EDIT: back down to 20k/b

Still have the same problem from the weekend. Loads of packet loss. I'm on my backup Axxess account now and it's flawless.
