I could be wrong....I suspect that video streaming is probably not being given as high a priority as other traffic types.

@MWEBGuy - Without revealing "trade secrets", are you able to provide the thread a list of the traffic that get higher priority in priority order? This would probably remove some of the noise being felt right now and let us know when if its 24/7 or during which parts of the day?

Hi bradlesliect

I can tell you that video streaming is in one of our highest priority pools.

Protocols like browsing, gaming, emails and business traffic gets high priority on our network.

 ok...I spoke too soon. My p2p download speeds are to sucking nuts

I'm hopeful it will increase this evening. Its currently running at the speed of a 128k line - remember those? HTTP downloads are good.

Hi, let me know if your speeds do increase.

I will also test this from my side for an hour or so and provide you with feedback

U want me to keep checking now or later? If later, what time? I will check it for about an hour. Thanks for help.

Ok...speed now maxxing at 30k. Any details you want me to PM you? It seems to be torrents only. HTTP has been maxxing at 96k

Oops! Lets start testing now. Using NetLimiter just to check if the torrent manager is reflecting true speed.

How's it looking your side?

MWEB Guy - ok...its sporadic but a lot better. My torrent(s) are now peaking between 80-100k. You do anything that side?

The only thing i have done is queued a few downloads.
I am getting pretty good speeds my side.

Just had a quick look. Stutters and freezes up.

At a stage could hear running but picture was frozen, after about 5 seconds came to life and saw some running but froze up again. Graphics also looked very poor here and there.

Also on a 1M line.

Sigh...

Its the only stream i can find too... :(

Thnx for lookin

There might be a huge amount of traffic to the site, more than their network and/or servers - the ISP that hosts that site - can handle.

How is streaming from YouTube?

Hi MWeb Guy! I seem to be having a problem with my line/ADSL. I've been experiencing slow International browsing and on some days my International access has been non-existent. This seems to happen like clockwork on or around the 1st of EVERY month. Telkom's been out 4 times and I've even gone as far as to have my entire house rewired, reset at the Exchange, the DSLAM checked, modem changed, PC formatted and filters swapped etc.

My 5GB Telkom Account works perfectly. I've just purchased an Axxess prepaid account and that works too. I use my MWeb account for Youtube, playing Guild Wars 2 and the occasional download of 100mb-900mb files a month via FTP.

My ping used to fluctuate between 40ms-55ms at the most. When I first joined MWeb Uncapped it was a lovely 34ms. Download speeds varied between 3.3Mb/s - 3.8Mb/s.

Mine also stutters and lags pretty badly. International ping seems to be fluctuating greatly. The gotv in-game spec client also shows ping fluctuating between 250 and 900.
