MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi Mweb guy, any feedback on my query?

Hi ADRAM3L3CH

I spoke to the person that I'm following up with and we still don't have a definite answer. As soon as I get the answer, I will keep you posted.

So I've been looking into the whole speed issues on the 1Mbit line or higher upgrades. And naturally we all know quite a couple of people are being effected and are no longer/or just never have been getting decent speeds on their upgrades

Well I think it's truly safe to say Mweb isn't the issue. It's Telkom (surprise :D k maybe not) Clearly they cannot FULLY support the demands now from the upgrades. Sad really. Only thing I can think of is Telkom needs to actually upgrade their exchanges. Which I doubt will happen

My opinion on the whole matter. Anyways Mweb for the win <3

Yes and No...Telkom provides in the infrastructure and sometimes there is an "overload" at eh DSLAMS at the exchanges. Having said that, the ISP - as is the case with MWEB - are also major players in this ball game.

MWEB, even though running on Telkom infrastructure have their own local backbone. We unfortunately, like everyone else have to "stand in line" when it goes International because the "Premium" customer gets preferred access - don't know how high MWEB is on the list being in the top5 of ISPs in SA - and the rest of us...its a shark fest...you literally take what you can sink your teeth into.

The other thing is that we have a HUGE dependance on Seacom. I've been out of the game for a while so i don't know what other Exit/Entry points we have internationally i.r.o bandwith? Telkom's policy has also always been "we guarantee you your X speed between yourself and your closest exchange but not beyond that".

Instead of MWEB Guy asking for everyone's details and refreshing their accounts I think Mweb should consider the fact that there might be a bigger overall problem??

Hi Mweb Guy,

Could you please check if there is a problem with my account. I called Telkom and they informed me that I must first confirm that my account is in working order before logging a fault.

My router loses connection after 1 minute of connectivity. I would've added a Speedtest result but it unfortunately won't load.
