Something is wrong, I just downloaded: http://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.3.0/python-3.3.0.msi
It's not p2p, so should get full line speed...
Cancelling when I get home. Paying for internet but can only surf local sites. Phone data going to be high this month.
What sort of shaping do you guys get and also what is acceptable when it comes to shaping from Mweb's side? Currently I'm downloading an NZB at 70KB constant on a 4MB Uncapped line, it's been like this all week. If I switch it to SSL it shoots up to 420KB and stays there, but obviously this is against "terms of service" so I turn it off. At 1am it seems to fly at around 430KB all night till the morning. Is this acceptable shaping or should I move? Also gaming from 6pm - 11pm is horribleI'm in Durban too.

I'm fairly happy with the downloading side of things, yes it pees me off that if I need something at 11pm I cannot get it at full line speed because it's throttled to hell and gone but I manage to get my moneys worth per month I think. The gaming hassles we're getting and it seems to mostly be us Durban guys, is what is really ticking me off though.

+1, had a similiar problem I was getting 130-200kbps download speeds yesterday and according to mweb guy 200kbps is more then acceptable on a 4mb line. :erm: sounds like a poor excuse to me
Now only getting 200Kb/s on Windows update downloads...
