Thanks. I've tried to call Telkom today to give me the latest update regarding my line but was told not to call them again :mad:

Pity that you never get their private/personal numbers or a way to contact their section directly. Because that would be the point I'd call them again and again and again and again until something gets done :p

Interesting, when I enter my telephone number in when reporting a fault on Telkom website and I get the following message that explains why I cannot report a fault:

The service is already part of a network outage.
Reference : 77918
Date Reported : 11/8/12 3:40 PM.

Maybe there's hope after all.
 
10 mins in, mweb to diablo3.... looking better. In fact I might be able to play without DCs

I'm watching my soap first... then I'll try some diablo3 :D

According to ping plotter it should be OK as it showed no loss or ping spikes for 22mins running.

Just DCed from diablo3. Going to connect to WebAfrica and see if same thing happens...
 
Its official. Something is wrong, going to call back telkom tomorrow and see what they say about the line. DCed again with Webafrica.
 
as late as it is, any chance to fix the d3 EU realm connections again? seems to be having troubles..
 
Does anyone else get packet loss to 196.22.161.133 (postfix.wipronet.co.za) and 196.22.169.243 (vl-12.vic-hscore-2.mweb.co.za) when they do a pathping?

eg. open cmd and then use

pathping 196.22.161.133
pathping 196.22.169.243

This was from work, another isp to diablo3 and then some of mweb's nodes indicating packet loss.

I am in the Edgemead area, and my line has been extremely unstable for the last 24 hours.. Slow speeds, the line loses sync and the line noise has gone up to 29DB from 20

Anyone else in the north suburbs having issues

I checked the account for you and it seems in order. Also checked the line and there is nothing that stands out.
Your attenuation is currently on 22db.

I can however see loads of disconnects on the account. This seems more like an intermittent connection issue.
Are you able to test your connection with a different router or ISP account, I'd like to see if you get the same sort of problem.

It should help us to identify what the possible cause could be.
 
I'm confused... can or cant telkom give you a line reading when you are not connected? Yesterday it was possible and today it is not :confused:
 
Old sierra trick. At first if monster on screen, walk off screen and walk back in. Second consultant helped me out without militant style...

@mweb gyu I've logged a FR for line noise.
