MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

I have been having problems with my torrent downloads over the past couple of weeks, where I used to be very happy. I'm not sure what has changed, but something definitely has. I logged a call with mweb, to which I got a response that P2P bandwith was a "best effort" service, and there was nothing they could do.

I find this completely unacceptable, since I was quite happy with my service, and it is now shocking. I have even convinced a few people to move to mweb due to the good service I was getting, but sadly I no longer feel this way.

I would really appreciate if this issue could be resolved for me.

Torrents got a low priority on our network and it is a contended service.

Have you tried using news servers for your downloads.
Please refer to this article.

I have always gotten good speeds with torrents (overall use in a set period).

If this changes, and this is the response I get, I will not be impressed at all.

International is acting up terribly, keep getting dc'ed from my game and sites aren't loading

Websites are not loading properly, and I cannot down updates for my music software through the updating app, which is a very big problem.

Help please. :)

Hi copacetic

I have reauthed your account now, allow 30 minutes then restart your router and test.

If this does not improve then provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.

do the trail uncapped 1mb/s accounts take lower priority to suscribers, beacuase browsing is fine but downloading at 20kb/s, that is the exact reason i am moving away from axxess

Our trial accounts gets the same priority as our normal customer base.

I'm thinking my problem from yesterday hasn't quite gone away yet.

Google takes a couple of refreshes to load... I am seeing quite a few exchange outages on the Network status page, most likely not Mweb related, do you perhaps know what the fault might be?

Also, in another forum topic on all the ADSL outages, Parow Valley is basically my area:
Yeah it's becoming quite bad. Parow Valley here and starting yesterday I've not been able to get more than 10KB/s on any ISP account. Pings are still great though...

Afternoon, we have no reported outages in your area though.
