Hi MWEB Guys,

Putting you in the picture.

I am starting the process of stoping MWEBs and Telkoms contracts tomorrow.

Due to the failure to get this problem resolved.

Hi orsum

Is there anything I can do to change your mind? What was the results like after you've done the tests with the account details I provided you?

Hi MWEB Guy,

The only thing that will change my mind is to get the speed back to 3.4 -3.7mbps which I have had since early 2012.

Paying just under 1000 rand a month for 1.4 to 2.4 is not acceptable.

If you can work your magic the please do so.

I am sure that this is not your issue but I am still unable to prove it one way or another.

I have thought of taking the line rental through you guys and then make the problem yours in total but then again I am not sure that would work.

Test conducted on 27 January 2013 11:51:37

Download Speed: 1585 kbps (198.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 418 kbps (52.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 71 ms

Hi Annihilatorza

We’re taking a close look at exactly what customers will be getting from Telkom at these new prices & will then evaluate.

You guys had better do it quickly as that is a very good deal and Openweb has already responded.

Mweb needs to do more to become a market leader, you once were.

You kicked some serious ass in 2011 and beginning of 2012 but you have become stagnant.

So is Mweb going to do anything about being the most expensive ISP out there at the moment...? I am seriously thinking of moving...

I have been a loyal and happy customer with MWEB. but now the price diffrence is just too good to ignore (2mg uncapped for 249 from Telkom!!). I have given my month notice to MWEB but I do hope they change their pricing in that time so that I don't feel the need to experiment:)

mind you if the other side is ***, i will be back :D

My main worry would be latency. From what I hear MWEB is hard to beat in that regard.

Although, I'm going to likely to join the mass exodus in all likelihood if MWEB don't come to this party in some manner.

Having a 4 meg account has been nice and all, but holy **** is it a lot of money a month overall...

Anyone know if Mweb will change their pricing soon? I'm seriously considering switching to Telkom for that sweet 4mb line @R699 pm :p Mweb's 4mb package has been sitting at R899 for forever now

My apologies. I only saw now that Telkom's new pricing is the topic of the last few messages :)

I hope the response is very fast because many users, including myself, are on the verge of switching from Mweb's 4Mbps to Telkom's 10Mbps. It's just R100 more for over twice the speed. A deal like that overrides any loyalty I have towards Mweb.
